Folder level editing/authoring permissionsOpen

Wish:I’d like to have the flexibility to change permissions for single folders (formerly “boards”) within a collection so that they can be edited by folks who do not have author permission to the entire collection. Why:I am part of our Community Management team and we own a large college for all product knowledge. We have this collection split into folders for the different areas of our product. Most of those folders align with our product teams/verticals. I want to be able to give a product team or individuals on a product team editing access to the cards within the folder related to their area of ownership, without giving them keys to our entire kingdom. I’m aware that I can split this collection into multiple collections to accomplish something similar, but that would result in a lot of collection noise. GURU for non-profits

We started using GURU back when there was a free version (2021). We are a small rural library. We love that GURU has grown to be such a powerhouse, but we would also like to share our GURU success story with other libraries running on very limited budgets. Do you have a scaled-down free version I can share with other libraries, or maybe a non-profit version?

Custom FaviconOpen

Given Guru’s app is only card based, I feel users are missing the value to Page content on mobile.I’ve been training my team to visit the Guru website and ‘Add To Home Screen’. This works fairly well as a work around, but I wish I could add a custom favicon so our Guru page looks more like an app after being added to home screen.I really want our Logo to be our Custom Favicon!

As we are creating more and more collections teams are having to scroll to be able to find the collection they need.Challenge: Collections for subject areas/departments are currently sorted based on title. So to find all collections, related to Product or HR for example is difficult.It would be great to have a way to categorize/tag collections so that they can be filtered in the All Collections view. This would help to surface collections related to a specific topic/subject/department

Pretty much what it says on the tin. the MCP protocol has been standard for nearly 9 months. https://www.anthropic.com/news/model-context-protocol Please offer a simple MCP UX so that my Claude Code can ask Guru to list / read cards, at the very least.

Next/Previous Navigation Arrows in Card Manager ViewOpen

Current ChallengeDuring bulk card reviews in the Card Manager, there is no option to navigate directly to the next or previous card from within the card view.To move to another card, users must exit the current card, which: Resets the view to the top of the Card Manager list. Loses their place in the list. Requires repeated scrolling and clicking to return to the previous position. This creates unnecessary friction and slows progress during large-scale audits, such as organization-wide card reviews.Ideal StateWhen viewing a card from the Card Manager, navigation arrows ( < and > ) appear on either side of the card, enabling users to move to the next or previous card in the filtered list without exiting to the main Card Manager screen.

Custom Publishing Workflow for multi-layered approvalsOpen

We have several departments that require multi-layered rounds of review. Currently, the workflow moves directly from Author to Publisher, which does not align with our needs. In some cases, there are 4–5 levels of leadership between the Author and the Collection Owner. Many processes captured in cards belong to departments whose Publishers are not closely involved in the day-to-day operations. A Custom Publishing Workflow would allow us to include additional layers of verification beyond what is possible with the current Contributor workflow. For example, adding formal verification steps before a card reaches the Publisher would confirm that approvals have already been given. This would help ensure that the Publisher—who may not be close to the specific process—can confidently publish without re-evaluating the content’s accuracy.Ideal State: Multiple, configurable approval gates that enable leadership-level or equivalent roles to formally verify cards before they are sent to the Publis

Add a scheduled archive date to CardsAccepted

Feature Request: add a scheduled archive date to cards. Context: We use one of our boards for announcements of incidents/outages/bugs, and we typically keep those around for ~6 months-1 year depending on content. Would be great to have one less thing to circle back on if we could schedule an archive date!

Schedule Card edits to publish at a later dateAccepted

Hi all, got a bit of a niche problem that comes up for us quite regularly that could do with a solution. When you have a card, that is valid up to a certain date, but you want it to be updated to different copy on a future date (say on a release date) it would be awesome to have some way of making edits to a card that come into effect after a certain date. This is so these edits could be made in advance, allowing teams to prepare and reduce the amount of activities that need to take place on the day. Like a scheduled update feature... not sure how you would best implement this whilst still keeping things straight forward. Would be a great feature for public cards too.

Schedule new Guru card to publishDuplicate

It would be great to be able to draft a guru card assign it to a board and section with tags and schedule the date it publishes. This would allow us to create content for specific product launches or surprise announcements and then have them publish at the right time for any audience rather than having to publish them ourselves. Similar to being able to schedule send with email and slack. This would also really help with people being out off office or across multiple time zones.

How can i include a speficic url to guru knowlege base

Guru is all about knowledge.We have a lot of specific knowledge inhouse but google has even more knowledge. there are some website which have all the information we need and could almost copy paste certain pages as cards into our GetGuru.Now if we do that we would have to update the gards evey so often to keep it updated in guru (to update guru in case changes have accured on this specific website.As getguru is an AI tool there must be a better solution to this.How do i include pecific URL’s (e.g. Government website) in our own knowledge base to make sure those websites / urls are being included in finding an answer for us.

User access to collections of a different team

Hi there!It is not clear from the documentation if a user can be part of another team’s groups. For example for this endpoint `https://api.getguru.com/api/v1/groups` (doc link) the description says:Returns all groups on the team. Can I assume from this statement that a user can only get access to collections therefore they cannot be part of some group outside of its team? There is also this change announced recently that allows an individual to be assigned access to a collection: As of June 30, 2025, Groups are optional. You can decide to instead assign individual users to objects. Thanks in advance!

Hi there!I'm working on a project that requires fetching the permissions of a user or user group for a collection of cards.I'm aware of the api/v1/groups/{groupId}/collections endpoint, but this only works for groups. However, according to this announcement:As of June 30, 2025, Groups are optional. Multi-Workspace Collection Access

Hey there!I'm working on a project that requires displaying the list of collections across multiple workspaces. From what I’ve read so far, each access token generated for the Guru API provides access to only a single workspace. Could you confirm if that’s still the case?In my case, I need to fetch all collections across multiple workspaces, but it seems that the /api/v1/collections endpoint does not support this capability. Do you have any suggestions or workarounds for handling this scenario?Thanks in advance!

Publishing Workflow - see changes?

We just implemented a publishing workflow for the first time. When a approval request comes into my drafts for an edited card, is there a way to see what changes they made compared to the existing card? Similar to when you verify?

Confirmation of Knowledge

Hey allNew to Guru. We are looking for an all in one solution to provide our small company with an intranet of sorts to aid productivity and share updates AS WELL AS a way to onboard new team members and provide training and guidance.I have really enjoyed exploring Guru so far. I have requested a sales call, but no answer as of yet to book that in.One issue we have is we really do need to test the knowledge and understanding of our team members particularly when it comes to safety critical operating procedures. Whilst we are able to organise and document these elegantly through different libraries and cards, Guru is definitely lacking that “quiz” function to be able to get a confirmation of that team member’s understanding that we can track and record.One work-around I have seen is to make the group that needs to stay current with that operating procedure the expert for that card, and set the verification frequency to how often we need them to refresh their understanding. Using Guru for ISO9001-2015 Quality Documents

Good afternoon all,We have been experimenting with Guru as a means to migrate our internal guidance including standard operating procedures as well as other information.As we are ISO9001-2015 certified, we are looking at how we can leverage Guru to manage our documents, forms etc..As it stands we plan to:Create a Collection ISO9001-2015, and within it a number of folders to hold the manual, policies, procedures etc..Use our sharepoint to store the master form templates for forms we need to use as part of our day-to-day activities.We believe that we can use Guru’s robust version history to ensure we have a single, verifiable source for all the ISO documentation, with the exception of the form templates that will live on sharepoint.The missing piece of the puzzle is that we may be required to have to share some of the policies or processes with external people. Only way at present is to export as a PDF. As these however are ISO documents, they should have a proper page header and footer,

Websites as agent sources

Currently websites can be added to Agents , BUT this is only for activating the agent on a website. This is quite deceiving. Can we start the discussion to Rename the current Websites to “Webpage assist” Add the ability to nominate websites that are actual sources of dataThe benefit here is that for a specific agent (eg one for technicial support) , can take information from supplier support pages, bringing in very specific accurate data
