Search Bar Results

Hello everyone, I’m Dannte from the KM team. Nice to meet y’all! Sorry to bother, but I was wondering if there’s an option to view more than 50 results in the Search Bar/Card Manager sections. If not, would it be possible to, perhaps later in the future, add this function? While it is not that common, there are times when we need to do some heavy research in the Search Bar, and being limited to 50 results at a time can complicate a bit our efficiency.Any and all guidance is appreciated. Thank you very much!

(My general research outside of Guru seems to suggest it can be done).I am not sure if there are any specific training guides to help us - the only ones I found in the Help Centre related to the previous iteration of answers, so I don’t know if it would still be the same? We would like to learn more about the background of educating the AI when flagging/updating the answers.I hope some of this makes sense - the AI side is a new world to us that we ae trying to get on board with - any further pointers would be greatly appreciated, thank you:)

Close should not discard the cardOpen

I was working on a card, clicked close because it was not obvious that it wouldn't save. I thought closing the card just meant closing and save. I was surprised to learn that it completely deleted my draft without so much as asking me to confirm that this is what I wanted to do. Auto saved drafts should be standard, and if you do have a non-clear button for discarding, maybe a popup to confirm would be a good idea? just lost 45 minutes of work because of this, very frustrating.

Add filters to TasksOpen

We have some users who are part of many verifier groups, where it would be helpful to be able to filter by that group to isolate the unverified cards in the Tasks dashboard. (Sorting by them is definitely helpful already.) Filters allow us to be able to consider two factors (example use case: filter by verifier group and reason could allow us to prioritize unverified cards for a certain verifier group where the trigger was a change or request from a fellow author, as opposed to just an expiration.) We recognize we can filter by verifier group in the card manager and verification state (but no “Reason” over there either), but the improved Tasks dash is a much more convenient/familiar place for non-admins. Thanks for considering!

Create an out of the box integration for Google SitesOpen

We are a Google company therefore aside from Google Drive, Google Sites is the second biggest knowledge repository. Integrating Google Sites with Guru will provide all the benefits that the other Guru out of the box integrations (such as ServiceNow, Confluence etc) do. There are already integrations between Guru and other areas of the Google Suite (such as Sheets and Drive), to include Google Sites with these would enhance the synergy and help us to create a more holistic, interconnected knowledge-sharing environment. This is largely because of the improved searchability, we will be enabling users to surface knowledge authored in a Google Site, which is currently a black hole when it comes to searching on Guru, even if we make cards with links to the sites.If we could get this set up as a sync it will improve the efficiency of locating specific information and reducing the time spent trying to find a link to the Google Site and will greatly assist with onboarding / bringing new starter

Randomize verification date after "clean up"Open

Occasionally we get behind in verifications, and we’ll then sit down and verify a bunch of things a single day. The problem wth this is the next time those cards need verified (for us that is typically every 6-12 months) they again all fall in a single day, which feels difficult to maintain (and easy to ignore), but perpetuates the issue each year going forward. If there was a way to “randomize” the verification schedule, it would help load balance future verifications … for example if you chose “randomized annual” verification schedule, cards could come up for verification within 2 weeks before and after a date 1 year from last verification. That would help us ensure staff don’t get constantly overwhelmed when cards are due for verification all at once.

Include self when scheduling announcementsOpen

When sending announcements, it doesn’t send myself a notification. Even if I include a group I’m in, it still doesn’t send me a notification. I need the notification so that I can see what it looks like on the receiving end, and also so that I can confirm that it indeed sent the announcement.

Description for GroupsOpen

We have about 40 groups in our Guru instance. Today I don’t have a way to make a note of who should be in each group so that others can see it and maintain the group integrity. I am keeping a separate spreadsheet with a description of each group, why it exists, and who should be in it.

Is it possible to enable a text fragment anchor?

Whenever you search on a key word and hit enter, you see a list with all the results. For every page there is a preview where the keywords that you used are highlighted. Is it possible in Guru to get the page to automatically open on the section of the page that you also saw as a preview?

Analytics for comments on cardsOpen

I would love to be able to export comments as a csv file, or set up an integration so that every comment auto-updates a Google Sheet. Right now I track all the comments manually in a Google Sheet along with an actioned? column. We use it for performance reviews to highlight the contributors that keep our docs up to date.

Exclude folder from Zendesk sync

Hi. I am hoping someone can help. I have our Zendesk guides sync’d with Guru and I want to exclude one of the folders from the search results. In Zendesk, we store a lot of guides and F&Q’s including our release notes. I want to exclude the release notes returning when a member of my team searches guru. Is this possible via the Guru UI?

On a Guru page it looks fine, but the save to PDF option seems to truncate any run of spaces longer than two down to just two, destroying any page indention formatting on the PDF. Is this a known bug?

Left side navbar changed?

Hello… is it just me, or… what happened to the left side navigational area? I used to be able to minimize it so the column only shows the task and collection icons. Now, the column just goes away completely when toggled. Thanks for any insight.Lloyd

Knowledge Trigger URL

Hello! Starting to get into Knowledge Triggers. Wondering how do you setup a Knowledge Trigger for a website such as SalesForce, where every case or ticket is a different URL? Ideally, I would like to have Knowledge Triggers appear when typing emails to clients and using specific keywords. For example, our Salesforce URL is https://classlink.lightning.force.com/An example of a case would be https://classlink.lightning.force.com/lightning/r/Case/[Case Number]/viewEach case has a different number in the URL. I tried setting the trigger to enable on https://classlink.lightning.force.com/, however that does not seem to work. Any suggestions?

Customers syncing Guru data with a BI tool?

Hi community - I’m wondering if any Guru admins have done some work to sync Guru data/analytics to their business intelligence (BI) tools? We’ve connected our BI tool (Metabase) and I’m trying to identify what tables/dashboards could prove most valuable to our users outside of the OOTB analytics available in Guru. I’ve got some ideas, but would love to hear what has been impactful for others. TIA
