Answers AI when searching within collectionOpen

I would like to be able to invoke Answers AI when searching directly within a collection. In desired state, this would allow me to quickly ask questions while also filtering down to the desired data source.

Refine searches directly from search barOpen

I would like to be able to refine/tiler my search directly in the search bar, similar what is possible in Gmail (https://support.google.com/mail/answer/7190?hl=en) and Slack. It is currently slow for me to filter by collection as the sorting of filter options are by match volume and not alphabetical.

Multiple cards-different teams, same topic

Looking to understand how other teams are doing this……Our company just released a new feature, this resulted in the following: Product Team created a “product overview” Card in the product collection Sales Engineering team created a ‘sales faq’ card in the Sales Collection Customer care team created a card for their collection…Now we have 3 assets that exist, which serve various teams & use cases. Problem - there are multiple cards to update if the core card has a significant change. We are weighing whether we want to continue creating separate cards for separate teams, or end up with a single, large scale card which serves all audiences. This could be mitigated by having a very specific Table of Contents built out, however….the world where a sales rep could just use the chrome extension to get to their sales specific card is very enticing….Curious to get some feedback from the community!

Remove Unverified Cards from SearchOpen

To only have verified content show in the Guru search and used to contribute towards AI answers. Users do not always pay attention to cards being unverified and when only used as a source it’s even less clear that the knowledge being input into the answer isn’t always accurate and up to date.

AI Answers Feedback WorkflowOpen

If a card/source is displayed and requires the user to mark it as thumbs down - AI should automatically notify the verification group assigned to the source. With this awareness it is considerably more likely that the changes will be made by the content owner, which in turn will ensure that future answers surfaced are of value to the consumer. Without the awareness that their content has been marked with a thumbs down there is a great risk that no action will be taken to improve the content.

Weighting of AI Answer Sources based on LocationOpen

For a user’s location (information in their HRIS synced profile) to be taken into account when sources are used to create an AI answer.For example if I ask the question “how to set up a printer in the office”, Guru takes into account that I’m based in the London Office and shows me only this information, rather than the printer guide for the Poland office for example.

Can I pull content from Github READMEs?

Guru has a Github integration which sources Github Issues for content/answers. However, it does not support the codebase itself or the README. READMEs are often the source of truth for context about a service and instructions relating to contributing, testing, deploying, troubleshooting, etc. They would be an integral part of a Github knowledge base.Does anyone know of a way to source READMEs? I was thinking of building a job as part of my deployment pipeline which pipes the README into a new Card using the Guru API, but I haven’t tried using the API yet and am not sure how effective that route will be.

Allow collapsible sections within numbered/bulleted listsOpen

The new collapsible section feature is great, but lacking a bit in flexibility.The ability to add collapsible sections within numbered or bulleted lists would be hugely helpful. In a card with troubleshooting steps, for example, optional screenshots or additional explanation could be added, without creating a lot of bulk that makes the card harder to follow.

Make it possible to link directly to a subheaderOpen

It needs to be possible to link directly to a subheader in a Guru card so you can point people directly to that section of a card. While cards should be short and easily digestible, they’ll still need subheader content, and we should be able to direct users immediately to that content without them needing to scroll. It is really important to be able to not only reference headers between Guru cards, but also link to them externally, such as in a Slack message.

ESC or CTRL+W warning prompt before exitingOpen

Hi all - I’ve received some feedback that it would be nice after hitting ESC or CTRL + W to have a warning asking the user if they actually want to exit a card. Apparently some other tools do this because hitting ESC in particular is a common key to hit without intended to terminate the actual action. Thank you!

Can I pull content from Github READMEs?

Regarding attachments returned through API

Hi Team,I am using the search (https://api.getguru.com/api/v1/search/query?q=) and trying to fetch the attachments, however we see that, we are getting all the attachment information like images, and videos in the content field. We get a URL in the src field when we try to use that URL for file information, We get a 404 error. Any pointers to fetch the attachment information from API ??

Is there a API that can use a Get to search a folder?

We moved our product support documents to Guru. Our customer access these documents from our website. I’m using API to search and get documents. Each document is a card. We have a collection holding these documents. We use folders to organize the documents into subgroups.We want to use a Collection Token for Guru API calls. Consequently, only Get operations are authorized.The Guru search API supports a Get to search the whole collection, but I cannot find a parameter to specify a Folder ID to search a specific folder.The Post to the cardmgr API does support searching a folder, but this cannot be used by a Collection Token.Am I overlooking something?

Image Resize Bug

Images go to full size, I even screen shot and it still get’s blown up. Max width should have same boundaries as text, but don’t. Inconsistent behavior too, following previous 2021 bug feedback does not work, no way to resize.

Bulk export a list of broken links and the cards they live in.

We need a way to export a list of broken links and the cards they live in. Otherwise, this is a very manual process across thousands of Guru cards.Another person asked about this as a question, but it should be a feature request.

Best practices for handling Office file content in Guru

We are getting ready to move existing content into Guru. We have previously used a combination of Sharepoint and a Wiki. In Sharepoint most of the content is office files, Excel, Word and Powerpoint. Much of this content is not appropriate to change to card content. Like Excel files with multiple sheets containing many rows or Word files that use our company branded template. The disadvantage of adding the files as attachments in Guru is that it is a quite cumbersome process to download the file, make changes, upload a new file, and remove the old attachment. The iFrame option is also not a good option for us because we have different user authentication providers for Guru and Sharepoint. The third option we have as far as I can see is to create url links in Guru to Sharepoint location of the files, but one of our goals is to reduce the number of systems used for storing knowledge content. We would then be forced to keep Sharepoint. I guess this is a quite common problem case with Offi

Finding cards without tags

I can’t find a way in card manager to find all cards without tags. Only to find cards with a specific tag.I would like to find all my cards without tags and begin tagging to help our team find things better with tags. Is there a solution for this? It’s got to exist and I’m just overlooking something simple.
