I recently added our company website as a ‘public website’ source. Almost immediately, we were hit by 50mb/s of traffic for several minutes, which nearly took the whole site down. I would like a way to throttle and direct these content grabs, as a naive crawl would seem to be pulling in multiple versions of each page (despite us having canonical meta tags), and we only really want a certain part of the site scanned. Furthermore, I would like to ensure that a crawl does not put undue pressure upon itI contacted official support about this and after being initially responsive (although of not much use) they just ignored me. Laughably, they asked for feedback a few days later, and even though I provided the worst score I could I haven’t heard anything back from that.I also asked if there was a way for us to integrate an MCP source, which may prove more useful, and that question was also ignored.Is there anyone here who can help?thanks very much in advance.Adam

Hello,The API reference doesn’t show how to verify the webhook requests. I expected to be able at least to set an API key or so in the request body (`POST https://api.getguru.com/api/v1/webhooks`). Currently is there a way to do so?

Hi there!It is not clear from the documentation if a user can be part of another team’s groups. For example for this endpoint `https://api.getguru.com/api/v1/groups` (doc link) the description says:Returns all groups on the team.  Can I assume from this statement that a user can only get access to collections therefore they cannot be part of some group outside of its team?  There is also this change announced recently that allows an individual to be assigned access to a collection: As of June 30, 2025, Groups are optional. You can decide to instead assign individual users to objects. Thanks in advance!

Hi there!I'm working on a project that requires fetching the permissions of a user or user group for a collection of cards.I'm aware of the api/v1/groups/{groupId}/collections endpoint, but this only works for groups. However, according to this announcement:As of June 30, 2025, Groups are optional. You can decide to instead assign individual users to objects.Given that, how can I use the Guru API to determine which individual users have access to a specific collection?Thanks in advance!

Hey there!I'm working on a project that requires displaying the list of collections across multiple workspaces. From what I’ve read so far, each access token generated for the Guru API provides access to only a single workspace. Could you confirm if that’s still the case?In my case, I need to fetch all collections across multiple workspaces, but it seems that the /api/v1/collections endpoint does not support this capability. Do you have any suggestions or workarounds for handling this scenario?Thanks in advance!

Currently websites can be added to Agents , BUT this is only for activating the agent on a website. This is quite deceiving.  Can we start the discussion to  Rename the current Websites to “Webpage assist”  Add the ability to nominate websites that are actual sources of dataThe benefit here is that for a specific agent (eg one for technicial support) , can take information from supplier support pages, bringing in very specific accurate data

I tried the endpoint that was suggested (GET https://api.getguru.com/api/v1/folders/iq9zL8rT/items) using my Collection token authentication (Collection ID: 8ioty as username, Collection token as password) but I'm getting a 401 Unauthorized error.Here's the exact curl command I'm using:curl -u 8ioty:COLLECTIONTOKEN "https://api.getguru.com/api/v1/folders/iq9zL8rT/items" -D -The only endpoint where my Collection token authenticates successfully is /collections/8ioty/export (though it returns 405 Method Not Allowed since it expects POST).What I’m trying to do is pull cards from a folder, within a collection to a Chrome extension side panel (in order to continue our workflow without having to leave the tab). I’m also trying to search the Guru collection. I am definitely using the correct key for the specific collection From what I understand, I’m using the correct endpoints with GET requests but I’m consistently hitting a 401 unauthorized error 401 Unauthorized (Authentication Failed):/ap

Are there any plans to further integrate with Microsoft Teams? The Knowledge Agents functionality within Teams would be extremely helpful for our users. 

On occasion I have noticed that that the chrome extension will not pop open.  Our team has attempted to troubleshoot in a variety of ways including signing out/back in, opening a new tab, pinning/unpinning the extension. Has anyone else experienced this?  What tip and or tricks have you found to help nudge the extension to start working? 

We use Guru for all of our knowledge management but have noticed we need to rely on a separate tool (LearnUpon) to create knowledge checks and it requires manually moving Guru card info over into this other tool (to assess understanding of Guru materials). I see this isn’t possible within Guru, but is there a Guru integration that could do this? We are specifically looking to use this for training new hires and new processes.

We use Canny for feature requests. It would be great if these were searchable in Guru.  

Hi, Following on from my other issue which this forum helped resolve, I have a follow up query:  When we search using search terms, tags and collection ID’s the results don’t seem to be filtered down based on what is passed for anything except the search term - this doesn’t appear to be impact by which “search” end point we use. ExampleI have 2 boards with public facing cards (the only 2 that are public facing) lets call them Prod and Test:If I search via the API for public facing cards using:searchTerms  - populated with whatever the term iscollectionIds (or collectionUids) - populated with the PROD collection ID from this call (https://developer.getguru.com/reference/getv1collectionsgetcollections)tags  -  a tag that only appears on around half the cardsqueryType - cards I will get cards returned from both the PROD and TEST collections for the search term, even though we’ve specified a collection ID, which I would assume should filter down the results for only those using the collect

As an Admin, I would love to be able to create/invite (and remove) users through the API. Is there a way to do this? Imagine being able to set up Users directly from a list of emails in an Excel spreadsheet using Power Query. So easy and quick!

We would like the ability to share individual pages of content rather than having to sync entire sections of our Notion Database. 

Hi, We’re trying to retrieve certain cards from a collection based on whether they have a specific tag present, but we’re not having much luck. Example body below using “search for cards using JSON Query” - if we search without the “query block” below, we get results, if we search with it we get an “error parsing JSON body” response{"query": {    "type": "tag",    "op": "EXISTS",    "ids": [      "TAGNAME"    ] }  "searchTerms": "search string",  "queryType": "cards",  "collectionIds": [    "COLLECTIONID"  ]} Any help would be appreciated

Hello everyone, I’m Dannte from the KM team. Nice to meet y’all! Sorry to bother, but I was wondering if there’s an option to view more than 50 results in the Search Bar/Card Manager sections. If not, would it be possible to, perhaps later in the future, add this function? While it is not that common, there are times when we need to do some heavy research in the Search Bar, and being limited to 50 results at a time can complicate a bit our efficiency.Any and all guidance is appreciated. Thank you very much!

I’m using the Try It! tool in the API Reference to test the results of a card search. My search should return more than 50 cards that match my search term. I’m trying to figure out how to get the Link Header indicating another page of search results exists.My URL is “"https://api.getguru.com/api/v1/search/query?searchTerms=filters&queryType=cards&showArchived=false&maxResults=50&includeCardAttributes=false"”Is there an example of how to get search results and page thru them?
