The ‘Favorite Board’ function does not seem to work right

The ‘Favorite Board’ function does not seem to work right. After I favorite boards, they are properly displayed in ‘Heart Favorites’ section. When I click on one, the Collection shows up. When i click on another favorite, the screen defaults back to the Collection i had on the screen (even though the favorite board is in another collection). I assume this is because the subscription we have, but the application behavior is not good.  (We are testing Guru against Notion, and this ‘Favorite’ behavior is creating a negative impression)

Allow Card to keep Verification Date when changing Verification Team

We’ve updated internal processes and want to re-assign 1,000+ Cards to a single verification team. Unfortunately, we discovered during testing, that re-assigning Cards individually (or with Card Manager) will reset the “Verified Date” to today’s date. We are trying to avoid having a large number of Cards come up for verification down the road and would like to see if we can keep the existing verification dates when re-assigning Cards to a new verification team. Any solutions/workarounds so we don’t have to individually adjust each Card to a specific Verification Date after transferring them to the new team?

Markdown blocks for TOC visible in mobile app?

I am using markdown to create a table of contents on a card. When I view the card on the mobile app (iOS), these blocks appear with nothing in them: This does not seem ideal! Any suggestions?

Why is that everytime I copy a content from a card with Browser Plugin, the image does not show up?

When I copy a card, and paste into another program, say outlook email, only text is showing up without images, can I ask if this is expected?

Dedicated writers vs. an open platform (for content authoring)?

Hey Guru friends! I am wondering how many companies utilizing Guru have a dedicated ‘knowledge management/technical writing team’ vs. opening up knowledge capture to a much wider audience? I consider this a traditional approach vs. a crowd sourced approach.Traditional - change management or process/knowledge changes are funnelled into the technical writing team, who then prioritize writing based on resources/bandwidth, etc. They control content with stringent content & style standards.Crowdsource - Anyone (or everyone?) from a team/department owns the content and is empowered to update or create at any time?What works for your teams?

How do you use favorite lists to organize and easily surface your Cards?

Hey everyone! Curious, how do you all organize your favorite Cards?  I was hit hard by the back-to-school ads this September   and felt inspired to get in the spirit and organize my Guru instance. I pulled out all of the stops: I finally worked through that growing verification queue, responded to some outstanding comments and really began to feel that classic fall feeling of being back in a routine with a clean slate. As part of this clean-up, I also decided to re-examine how I was using my Favorite Cards and Lists. Here are a couple of helpful action items I wanted to share: Create an “Action Needed” Favorite List.  I can’t believe I haven’t done this before! This is a great place to store Cards that you want to look at again or have a direct action item related to. I also set up a weekly reminder in Slack to take a look at these Cards so the list is maintained.  Create temporary lists for current project work. Favorites Lists are easy to edit/update so don’t feel pressure to creat

Definition of what goes in your knowledge base?

We are getting ready to implement Guru in a phased approach across our ~350 person remote/distributed company. I’m curious how other folks are helping to define for their users what should and should not go in to their Guru knowledge base? For example, we don’t want users to save meeting minutes in Guru, as meetings and other in-progress work is not authoritative/definitive. What guidance do folk give their users to help make it clear what should and shouldn’t be in Guru? TIA!!!!

Dashboard shows very old announcement that doesn't show in my read or unread

We’re not able to clear this. It’s not showing in read or unread. It’s been here ever since the UI change. This happens for me and my colleagues, not just one person.

2 Step Verifying Process

Hi everyone! Just wanted to get some ideas on essentially having 2 verifiers on cards. We have an independent contractor creating and updating all of our health and safety cards. We want the independent contractor to be receiving notifications on cards to be verified and make updates - then we are wanting the card to be verified internally after reviews and change’s have been made. Does anyone have any current processes that sounds similar or some tips on how we could manage this?Thanks team!Grace

Issues with how cards display for people in Safari

User is seeing the card with all the images laid out on top of each other (rather than next to each other in a mosaic) and they can’t scroll down more than a 3-4 lines.This has come up a few times. Happens mainly in Safari.Is it an issue with how I authored the card or with that browser?

I have several cards that have been created by an individual who is no longer with our company.As an admin, I cannot archive these cards. Is there a way to change the author?

Enabling Guru for two or more Slack workspaces

Has anyone tried enabling the Guru app for more than one Slack workspace? I successfully enabled it in one of our corporate workspaces, but I don’t see a way to enable a second workspace. I’m an admin for both Guru and Slack. Appreciate any suggestions - thanks y’all!Ash

Making cards invisible in the searchbar

Hey! I was wondering if you could make cards invisible in the searchbar but accessible for everyone (only when they need it)? We have small cards that are an element of a ‘head’ instruction. This mostly contains a table which doesn't fit between the instruction or is only necessary in certain situations. Now they show up in the searchbar. This is not convenient because the search bar gives more results than needed and we don't want our employees to mis the important steps where they need to start.  We've tried:Include the content in the same Card with the use of markups. This doesn't work because the nummering/bullits will not continue after a markup. Include the content with a table of content. This only makes it difficult for our employees to edit the content because it is not easy to edit for everyone.  Put a note in the ‘side’ instruction: ‘you only need this content when ..’ or ‘you've first followed these steps [link] before you start with this Card’. This option is still open if

Tips for making the most of the Guru's updated navigation

Hi all! I wanted to share some tips/thoughts I had while recently making some light adjustments to a Collection I manage. While thinking about how to make the most of our updated navigation, I realized I was able to significantly cut down on the layers of hierarchy I had in this Collection, and consolidate several Board groups/Boards to create an experience that is much simpler to browse. Automating Cards in Slack

In slack, we have a channel that has been automated to create and send specific error messages if something goes down in our company. This is helpful in alerting us of any critical failure in our system so that we can deal with it in a timely manner. I wanted to know if it would be possible to have Guru cards do the same thing.Example: A Slack critical error pops up stating that one of our vendors has been brought offline which will deny access to our mobile app for our members, Right after this error is seen, a Guru card pops up in the same channel which states the vendors number, hours of operation, and specific dialogue to fix the issue.I hope this is a feature that can be added soon because I’m sure we would not be the only business who could use it. Slack and App, Wiki, Invited to Channels

Hi All - I might be overlooking. Is there somewhere that has some articulation about the difference between the Slack app being a connected app to Guru company wide and an individual adding the Guru Wiki to their slack workspace? I’m trying to understand the difference in functionality.For example, what if all Guru users have access to the Slack app being connected, but don’t add the Guru Wiki? What functionality don’t they have access to?
