I recently attended the Guru Permissions and Custom Roles Workshop, and I had the question about being able to view the permissions that users have on Objects; the presenters admitted that was something Guru doesn’t have yet, so I wanted to pose that feedback here in the community to follow up on this point.
With the advent of new custom roles and permissions based on Objects rather than Groups, it would be extremely helpful to be able to see who has what roles at the Object level (e.g., individuals that have Author access to Collections, Creators that run Sources, etc.) in one place rather than going through every Collection, every Page, etc. to see who has those permissions. In User Management, you can only see an individual’s assigned Groups. With an organization that has several Pages and Collections, it can be a little overwhelming to go through all of these Objects to assign or take away roles; I would find it very helpful to be able to assign or view roles from, say, the User Management tab. Additionally, it might be helpful to be able to pull a report outlining how many users are in certain roles to assist in role management.
