Yesterday, Guru released an important update to Guru’s Chrome extension. The functions of the Guru extension have not changed, however, if you use a keyboard shortcut to open the Guru extension, you will need to rebuild it. Follow the advice to assign a keyboard shortcut to open the Guru extension in our Help Center to get back up and running. 💫
Why this update and why now? Google is requiring all browser extensions running on Chrome to upgrade to the latest iteration of their Chrome extension platform, Manifest Version 3, in early 2023. In order for the Guru Chrome extension to continue functioning, Guru had to comply with Google’s requirement.
