Hi - is it possible to lock down permissions for who users can assign to answer incorrect or unanswered questions?We had an issue where (despite training) a user assigned it to everyone in the company...

Hi all - I’m interested in seeing the complete hierarchy in Guru in a sitemap-style (or similar) showing the Collections, the folders included in those Collections, and the way in which those folders are nested within each other.  My current understanding is that an export wouldn’t be helpful here because the folders column doesn’t show how they are nested within each other. Unfortunately that means I’m left manually re-creating the hierarchy of each collection in another tool like Miro or Figma so I can see them all in a single view.  Has anyone worked out other ways to accomplish viewing the complete hierarchy of collections and folders? 

Looking to understand how other teams are doing this……Our company just released a new feature, this resulted in the following: Product Team created a “product overview” Card in the product collection Sales Engineering team created a ‘sales faq’ card in the Sales Collection Customer care team created a card for their collection…Now we have 3 assets that exist, which serve various teams & use cases.  Problem - there are multiple cards to update if the core card has a significant change. We are weighing whether we want to continue creating separate cards for separate teams, or end up with a single, large scale card which serves all audiences. This could be mitigated by having a very specific Table of Contents built out, however….the world where a sales rep could just use the chrome extension to get to their sales specific card is very enticing….Curious to get some feedback from the community!

Images go to full size, I even screen shot and it still get’s blown up. Max width should have same boundaries as text, but don’t. Inconsistent behavior too, following previous 2021 bug feedback does not work, no way to resize. 

We need a way to export a list of broken links and the cards they live in. Otherwise, this is a very manual process across thousands of Guru cards.Another person asked about this as a question, but it should be a feature request.  

Although I have updated our content and made it very clear how service dogs need to be treated, Guru is not able to find an answer, because it looks for “service” and for “dogs” and doesn’t recognize “service dog” as one term. The same happens with other examples. This is very limiting to our teams.

Just wanted to share something I learned this week (which is very useful for a noob like myself).I’d always been curious if I would be able to bulk-link hundreds of cards to each other based on keywords, and the answer is yes. A use case for this could be that every time the phrase "sales playbook" appears in your knowledge base, Guru will create a card link to the specific card of your choosing with more information about the "sales playbook".Doing this manually is tedious, but the short method is below.Using the find and replace Guru sheet and a quick card export, I was able to create hundreds of Guru links to other existing cards from targeted keywords in about 5 minutes using the following steps:1. Read the instructions on the find and replace sheet and run an export of the relevant collection or boards from the card manager2. Make a copy of this google sheet, and using the information from your export, copy any keywords you want to target, and their corresponding card ID’s and Car

We are getting ready to move existing content into Guru. We have previously used a combination of Sharepoint and a Wiki. In Sharepoint most of the content is office files, Excel, Word and Powerpoint. Much of this content is not appropriate to change to card content. Like Excel files with multiple sheets containing many rows or Word files that use our company branded template. The disadvantage of adding the files as attachments in Guru is that it is a quite cumbersome process to download the file, make changes, upload a new file, and remove the old attachment. The iFrame option is also not a good option for us because we have different user authentication providers for Guru and Sharepoint. The third option we have as far as I can see is to create url links in Guru to Sharepoint location of the files, but one of our goals is to reduce the number of systems used for storing knowledge content. Is it possible to search Guru Cards in the Archived section?

Is there a way to exclude cards with a specific tag in your search? For example if we mark cards with #experiment because they're part of a test, can we then search and exclude that tag?

Hello - I will not be able to attend the webinar, “Using AI-Powered Enterprise Search in Guru”. Will there be a recording shared or posted here?

During our trial period, we are currently exploring the various features of Guru. I have come to understand that in order to search for knowledge base articles within Slack, we can either type "@guru" or "/guru" followed by the desired content. By doing so, Guru will retrieve all relevant information from its knowledge base and display it within Slack.However, I am curious if there is an alternative method where we can use a custom emoji instead of "@guru" or "/guru" to initiate this process. If such an option exists, could you kindly explain how it works? This would be a significant feature for us moving forward with Guru. Thank you for your assistance.

I’m a business consultant for health practices and I use and recommend Guru to everyone.   As such, I want to actually create (and maybe sell externally) Guru set ups for my clients and my ideal audience. Is this possible?

I’m getting an error message when using the card manager to move a few cards between collections. Hey all - few questions if somebody can assist?I asked this question awhile ago on a separate thread. Am I missing a one click option from the browser extension that opens a window to the webapp. Particularly if I need some functionality I can’t do in the extension? Is there a way to remove the Guru icon when the extension has been open but collapsed that I am missing? I know you can toggle it from side to side and click and drag it vertically, but anything to remove it altogether? Also, when you move the location of the Guru icon vertically, it doesn’t seem to persist across new browser windows (so new window, open extension, when collapsing the extension the tab doesn’t seem to collapse at the same place.)Thanks!

Is there a way to prevent ordered lists from restarting at 1 when they are separated by an image? I put screenshots between ordered list items and I don't want the list to restart. Thank you!

I have not fully embraced auto archive yet but want to give it a try. In order to build out my expectations and SOP accurately when reviewing “soon to be” auto archived cards, do I need to ensure the card is unlinked to all/any other cards to prevent a negative user experience. For example:1. If the auto archived card is linked to another published card, will the link remain present on the other card or will it be automatically removed for any/all cards when auto archived?2. If an archived Guru card link remains on another linked card, typically the title of the card is present if using Guru link to another Guru card feature. I assume this could potentially allow the archived card link (title) to appear in search results or generative AI source card, Is this correct?

Hi, Was recently trying to embed an image in a collapsible section - where the image part of the markdown looked something like this: `<img src="...image.png" width="200" height="200" />`The problem is whatever image I put in markdown expands to the width of the guru page → meaning I’m unable to make the image smaller than the width of the guru page (even if I tweak the width and height values in the markdown)…. I noticed in a past Q+A  → it was stated that Guru uses the `CommonMark` / github flavor of markdown - however, I tried my markdown in both CommonMark and github and minimizing the image size works there --- but not in Guru for some reason. It’s important for me to have the image embedded via markdown due to the need to embed the image within a collapsible section.  Please let me know if there is anything I can do or if I’m doing something wrong.

Hello- seeking Help from Guru team as the “contact Guru support” button is not working. We have another incident where someone accidentally archived ALL cards vs their own. I can see over 5,000 cards archive but I only want to restore the ones archived within the past couple of hours or by the person who has archived them all. When I tried to restore all cards from one collection, it restored them but did not go in their designated folders.Can someone please assist me asap?Thanks!
