Ability to Retroactively "Bundle" Edits Into One VersionOpen

We’ve all made a huge change to a card, published it, and then noticed a single typo that got left in. Fixing that typo then creates a whole new “version” of the card, pushing the more major update further down in the history. It would be nice to be able to combine multiple updates into a single one for the purpose of consolidating extremely minor updates.

Standardized Change Description OptionsOpen

Just to save a little time on having to repeatedly type out the same basic reasons a card was edited, it would be nice if, when prompted to enter a description of the change being made, you could either type in manually OR choose from a dropdown of common changes - e.g. “Typo corrected,” “Formatting updated,” “Policy Change,” etc. Maybe you could add your own custom options as well based on changes specific to your org.It could also be nice to be able to indicate the “importance” of a change - just a spelling or grammar fix isn’t something anyone really needs to be aware of, but for an edit that would cause an agent behavior change (e.g. changing a refund policy), maybe we could add a little exclamation point icon or something next to the “updated X days ago” text.

Don't Start a Draft Until a Change is MadeOpen

If you click the edit button on a Guru card, it creates a draft immediately, even if you don’t make any actual changes to the card. If you don’t manually delete that draft, it just sits there indefinitely, which can cause confusion when someone else goes to edit the card and sees “So-and-so last edited this draft 5 weeks ago.” To reduce this confusion (and the need to remember to manually delete drafts that you never intended to create because you just accidentally clicked the edit button), drafts should not actually save until at least 1 change has been made.

Highlight What is Different in a Draft vs Published VersionOpen

Sometimes I go to edit a card and see that a draft already exists that someone else created days, weeks, or months ago. Without manually comparing the draft to the published version, I have no way to know what changes were actually made. A little toggle that can highlight changes, similar to the feature that shows what changed between different versions of the published card, would be much quicker than either manually reviewing or contacting the draft author to ask if they remember what edits they made (especially for old drafts they may not remember details on).Sometimes people also just accidentally click the edit button and then back out of the page without actually deleting the draft that it automatically creates when you begin editing a card. So this leaves a “draft” open indefinitely that is 100% identical to the published card. This feature could also be useful just to help me verify as I’m working on a draft whether I’ve made all the changes I intended to, if I forgot to remove

Draft Options - Duplicates and Saving Multiple VersionsOpen

Hello!I wanted to bring up 2 features our team realized would be helpful:Being able to create a duplicate of a draft; Being able to save multiple versions of a draft.​​​We have run into a few situations where a process is launching in parts over time, where we have built the full resource out with all upcoming information, but due to our needs, only specific parts of the process need to show at a time as each part of the launch occurs. It would be beneficial to be able to save the additional information somewhere to easily copy or publish as needed, instead of needing to either create and save an entirely new draft, or re-do the information down the road.We have also run into situations where we are playing around with the best way to show the information or make minor changes to parts of a draft, where it would be beneficial to have the option to save multiple versions of a draft, and identify them separately.Thank you!

Pressing Escape While Editing a Card Should Act More LogicallyOpen

Hi. I noticed pressing escape while editing a card immediately closes it, even if there’s a popup like when inserting a link. When it closes the card it also replaces the current URL without adding it to the browser tab history so I can’t just press back to just go back to the card (I have to search for it again). Please consider making escape close popups and add to the browser tab history when the card is closed.Thanks.

Additional formatting capabilitiesOpen

Guru’s integration and AI capabilities are superior to other documentation platforms, though can lack some basic formatting capabilities that other platforms, e.g. Confluence, have.These formatting features allow for better visualisation of information and make it more user friendly. Make Resolved Comments More ProminentOpen

There is currently not an easy/intuitive way for an agent to know before leaving a comment if the question they want to ask has already been answered, or if the suggestion they want to make has already been proposed. The comment icon at the top of the Guru card only shows unresolved comments, and it’s not really made obvious where else someone would look for resolved comments. The “resolved comments” tab also doesn’t show a number indicating how many resolved comments there are the same way that the “cards that link to this card” tab does, so if there’s no number displayed, a user may just assume this means that there are none. (I know that the tab simply doesn’t display at all if there are no resolved comments, but someone unfamiliar with the ins and outs of Guru/who doesn’t look at card history very often wouldn’t necessarily automatically assume this to be the case) Sometimes we get multiple comments on a Guru card that have the same answer but don’t make sense to add into the c

Changing Card title updates links on other CardsOpen

Surely it's been requested before, but it would be so helpful if, when we changed the title of a Card, the links on other Cards that directly referenced that name changed automatically as well. Alternatively, if there was a way to find a list of all the cards on which a specific card is linked, it would help us do this manually a little easier.

Knowledge Agents Using Too Many Sources

In the last month or two, I’ve noticed that our Knowledge Agents always seem to be trying to reference the maximum of 10 Guru cards, or at least on questions that have been flagged as No Answer Returned. Oftentimes these are mostly completely unrelated cards, only 1 or 2 of them actually being relevant to the question that was asked. If I delete the 8-9 unrelated cards of them as sources, leaving only the 1-2 relevant ones, it does usually generate a correct answer.Was there a change made recently where Knowledge Agents always attempt to reference the largest number of cards possible, even if this means using cards that are less relevant or completely irrelevant?

Delete/Archive AI Training QuestionsComplete

What is the problem? Sometimes questions come through the AI training center that aren’t questions that have a clear answer. I would love if there is a way for us to clean those up, or determine aren’t priority to answer. Additionally we have submitted questions during training that are not real, and would love to option to delete them. See below - “who is the coolest person in IT? Where do I find rainbow kitties?   Who is it a problem for? Experts / admins How do you solve the problem today? No current work around - those questions just remain unanswered/unassigned without the ability to clear out our queue. How would you ideally solve the problem? Allow experts or admins to choose an option that says “will not be answering at this time”, “question is not prioritized” “question is incomplete” - or something similar to clear to queue. Make it possible to link directly to a subheaderComplete

It needs to be possible to link directly to a subheader in a Guru card so you can point people directly to that section of a card. While cards should be short and easily digestible, they’ll still need subheader content, and we should be able to direct users immediately to that content without them needing to scroll. It is really important to be able to not only reference headers between Guru cards, but also link to them externally, such as in a Slack message.

Built-in glossary functionalityOpen

What is the problem? While we can create a glossary of terms in a few different ways in Guru, an out-of-the-box capability to allow glossary terms to be identified and defined when used in Guru cards would be helpful.  Who is it a problem for? All users.  How do you solve the problem today? We will likely create a glossary of terms (one per card) and manually remember to reference that Guru glossary term definition card when using those terms in other cards.   How would you ideally solve the problem? Would be great if Guru first allowed you to identify any terms in the glossary and then provided functionality so that any time you to hover over one of those terms in a card, its definition would reveal without having to leave the card.  How big is the problem (business impact, frequency of impact etc.) A glossary is such an important part of any knowledge base, so it has the potential to provide a large impact. Proactively providing users with glossary definitions helps to remov

I’d like to propose a couple of enhancements to improve the usability and collaboration experience: Dual-Level Commenting System  Section-Specific Comments (DONE): 🎉Comments are tied to specific sections or pieces of content within the document. Overall Page Comments (NEW REQUEST): Introduce a new option to add comments that apply to the entire document/page. These should be visually and functionally distinct from the standalone section-specific comment boxes—perhaps located in an activity log sidebar.  Activity Log Sidebar (NEW REQUEST) Add a dedicated sidebar or side panel that displays a real-time or recent activity log. This should include actions like edits, comments added, resolved comments, and other relevant document interactions. Ideally, this panel would be collapsible and timestamped, helping users quickly understand the latest changes and contributions. Example:

Live linked content sectionsOpen

Feature request:Instead of linking a Guru card to send the reader to another page for relevant information, I would like to have a linked section of content that would display in the card and update as the other card updates.So, for example, I have two cards that both need instructions on how to create an equipment order. I can copy/paste that information into both cards, but then if it’s updated and only changed in one section, there would be incorrect/outdated information in another card.What I propose is that I could “mirror” a section of another card within my card. So instead of linking the equipment order card and saying “go check out the equipment order section of this other card”, I could just have it display the desired section from the other card in my new card. Google has this ability in their tools. When you paste a slide from another deck, for example, it asks if you want it to be linked or independent. This feature would be so helpful to allow me to reference other relate

What is the problem? We have some content that would be ideal to live across many cards (like specific code for troubleshooting), but only be updated in one place.  Who is it a problem for? Technical users How do you solve the problem today? Typically make a single card, even for a very small amount of code that is G card linked over and over in cards.  How would you ideally solve the problem? Consider something like notion’s synced blocks.  How big is the problem (business impact, frequency of impact etc.)? Synced content (like this and cards living in multiple collections) is the most requested feature at our company.

Super Admin needs the ability to see all unpublished drafts within the organizationOpen

While we are in the process of educating our organization to create new cards from within a collection, as we ramp up we have many new authors creating cards which live in their “My Drafts”. Without them adding their supervisor or us admins as a collaborator, we have no way of knowing which cards are being created, their status, or who is developing content.  At the permissions-level a super-admin access to all drafts would be appropriate to manage our content.

Howdy gang! I’m back with some exciting updates from the past month! As always, thank you for the continued feedback and please keep it comin! Link Directly to Content in Guru Cards and PagesSections within pages and published cards now have a small hyperlink icon next to them, that copy a direct link to the section the clipboard when clicked. When that link is visited, the page will highlight and autoscroll to the linked section. Add ability to expand table of contents by defaultOpen

We’re frequently referencing our tables of content. Having to click to open the TOC every time we go into a card is repetitive and frustrating, especially when the TOC is there to help make navigation easier. We’d like the ability to have all TOCs open by default. There isn’t really a reason not to - it doesn’t change how the card content appears on screen, and there’s already plenty of white space set aside for this ability.

Add keyboard shortcutsOpen

To make the web app easier to navigate sans mouse, it would be great if you could add some additional keyboard shortcuts (in addition to the authoring shortcuts and My Library ones already in place) to improve navigation and the user experience (ie, reducing tabbing). Feature request - ability to @ a Guru user (and have it link to their directory page)Open

Feature Request:My team would like the ability to link another Guru user using an @. Ideally this would pull up the user’s name and would hyperlink their Guru profile where their title and contact information lives. This way, it’s just a few clicks from someone being mentioned in a card as the point of contact → click into their Guru profile → click on their email/Slack contact to reach out.
