What is the 12 Days of Guru?

If you are hearing of 12 Days of Guru for the first time, starting December 1st until our Holiday Deep Dive on December 16th, we'll be dropping a series of tips in the Guru Community to help you recognize your 2021 impact with Guru.

  • Participants will have the chance to win prizes daily by measuring the Guru metric of the day and sharing your findings in the thread.

  • By the end of the 12 Days, you’ll have all the information you’ll need to complete a Year in Review Card or PDF you can share with your team.

  • You’ll be able to submit your final Card for a grand prize.

  • At the Deep Dive, we'll meet to share our wins, mix and mingle, and celebrate before the holidays!

Follow along with these 12 Days of Guru resources and don’t forget to RSVP to the Deep Dive:

Day 7 Challenge!

Today we’ll be sharing the total # of Guru Users we have at our companiesThis will be the start of a few metrics to celebrate our Guru users, so stay tuned!

How many Guru users do you have? Share below!

If you have admin access:

  1. Web App: Go to the web app (app.getguru.com) and head to “Team Summary” under the Billing page. Find a summary of your Guru users there!

If you don’t have admin access (like me hehe) you can:

  1. Head to the Users Section in the Analytics Tab
  2. Change the date range to be “in the year 2021”
  3. Look at the bottom left section “Usage by User”
  4. Scroll down to capture the total number! Some folks may have over 1,000 Guru users. In that case, feel free to export the CSV and find the number faster!

Share below for the chance to win a $25 Amazon gift card or Guru swag item of your choice! The winner will be announced tomorrow morning with our Day 8 Challenge post. :relaxed:

We have our full company in Guru, so that’s about 170 users!

While most of the company is using Guru (Sales and Customer Success), we leverage our knowledge council to try to restrict who is able to author and verify content. This ensures consistency and uniformity across the entire knowledge base. Our Light users love the Chrome Extension and use it daily.

We’re at 374 total! Since Guru is mainly for our Customer Support team, we’ve always felt bad about being forced to gatekeep valuable product information from folks outside of Support (like Product Managers, Designers, Marketing and even Sales), especially with budgetary concerns. So the introduction of Light Users has been an amazing gamechanger for us. So much less shoulder-tapping now that we can give read-only access to folks outside of Support!

Love to see it! Inviting new community members @M Razibul Islam Razon @Daria Volchek @Holiann Ho @Yohan Zhang @Rhys Hounsell @SaWalden @Jackie Lusardi @Sylvia Rodriguez @David Hague @Daniel Di Giandomenico @Patrick Zimny @Diana Acsente @Omar Carrasco @Nicky Barraza @Jordana Greenberg @Corie Bush @Federico Viola  @Sulaiman Affandi @Mike Salisbury  @Camille Pressley @Dayo Adebola ! Curious to learn more about your Guru instances, how many users do you have?

We have 66 users, which is all of the company & some external 3rd party groups. We haven’t figured out how to use light users or if it makes sense for us, but something we’re thinking about

Most of those pending core users we have identified as vendors who we don’t expect to log on - good reminder to chase up those people who should be on there though!

Our entire company has access to Guru (and gets access on their first day) - we have 617 users!

We are all Core users today but, like @Amanda Labby said, I’m excited to look into how we might use Light users in 2022. (@Amanda Labby, our numbers matched this time!!!)

We were so excited about the launch of Light Users! Everyone on the Support team is a content creator, but not everyone on other teams would be creating content in Guru.

We still really wanted a way to share all the knowledge we have with everyone, and the Light User role is exactly what we needed. It allowed us to add all our customer-facing teams; now we’re working together with HR to roll Guru out to the entire company early next year.

331 users!!!! (For context when we started Guru - I think we had probably just crossed the 100 mark!!!)
