Hey Answers Beta crew! I’ve got great news for the Slack users in this program: starting today, your team can ask questions and get instant Answers, right in Slack. Users can message the Guru Slack app or tag @Guru with a question (remember to include a question mark!). Answers will provide natural language information, plus links to the sources used to generate the Answer. Just like in the web app and extension, users will have the ability to rate the Answer, search, or ask an expert.

We really appreciate your continued feedback and participation in the Beta, so don’t hesitate to share your experiences with Answers in Slack!

Note: Visibility of Answers in Slack will follow the same rules as the visibility of Guru content in Slack. Learn more in the help center.

Really nice feature! When asking an expert, however, I would assume that the original answer gets preserved and is still shown.

Noted, appreciate the feedback @Lars Böhnke

Yay!

Sharing quick feedback - I just tested this with three very basic questions that I know we have answered in Guru.

  1. @Guru What does the Ops Strategy Team do?
Answer not found and it did not even suggest the teams card that explains what every team does.
  2. @Guru How do I order an appraisal?
Answer not foundWe have a card called Ordering an Appraisal, at least it did suggest that card.
  3. @Guru where is the hometap office?
Answer not foundIt suggested VERY unrelated cards. It did not suggest our Office Card - where the first sentence says “Hometap currently has an office in the 501 Boylston Street WeWork in Boston”
