Allow users without edit permissions to a card be able to un-verify itComplete

is there a way to have a user request verification WITHOUT being able to edit the card? for ex, someone can be working a ticket and notice that something is out of date or incorrect but they are not on a team which should be updating the info on the card. Read Only users can't request verification.

It would be great to have some more granular roles. Admin being an actual limited role that can add users, set up integrations, and other account wide settings Allowing for editing (or inline commenting/suggesting) of content Allowing for requesting verification and leaving card comments without changing or editing content (great for cross team collections that one team owns but another references frequently)  Developer type role to allow API token creation without also having all the other admin capabilities such as adding users, changing billing, admin of collections and groups, etc.

Allow certain people to verify any Card in a CollectionComplete

I would love it if we could had the ability for someone/or a few designated people - perhaps the Collection Owner group - to verify ANY card in a Collection, regardless of if they are the verifier. I am often making updates to a card after it's created that are formatting only edits, but the content itself is accurate, and then the card verifier has to go back and verify the card once I make my updates.

Separate authoring from verification responsibilityComplete

A spicy question/suggestion I'm sure because permissions are tricky to design from a product perspective: But have you ever considered a role that is just verifier vs. author? The problem this would potentially solve for our use case: We have tons of SME that know more about the product than I do, so we've opened up authoring to anyone in our team that takes a course on best practices. However, allowing author access also allows them to do things like rename boards, move boards, etc. - information architecture admin stuff that they really should not be doing and don't know the full impact of what their changes do to the rest of the collection. I would love to be able to have a role that is able to verify and probably also edit on a card level - maybe not even the ability to create new content - something between end user and author. Just a thought!

It would really help if the Buyer Support Guru included a simple visual guide or quick example showing where to get the order link and how to share it. Currently websites can be added to Agents , BUT this is only for activating the agent on a website. This is quite deceiving.  Can we start the discussion to  Rename the current Websites to “Webpage assist”  Add the ability to nominate websites that are actual sources of dataThe benefit here is that for a specific agent (eg one for technicial support) , can take information from supplier support pages, bringing in very specific accurate data

Deploy GetGuru into the Edge Add-in StoreWon't Do

Hello there, I’m the IT Manager at a 150 person company. We enjoy using Guru due to the specialty in information retrieval. One of the core components of this is the browser extension. Recently, I tried to deploy the browser extension it to all computers using our MDMs: Intune and Kandji.Unfortunately, Edge not only didn’t deploy the Chrome-extension for Guru, it actually blocks it. Therefore, when the Chrome extension is “deployed” to Edge, users can’t install it themselves at all (see photo). I’ve been told by Guru Support that there is no other way to deploy the extension other than the Chrome one, so currently our Edge users are blocked from using this feature of Guru. I’ve been told by Intune, Edge, and Kandji support that Guru needs to publish this extension in the Edge store. Please add Guru to the Edge Add-In store to allow IT admins to deploy the Edge extension to the Edge browser. Pressing Escape While Editing a Card Should Act More LogicallyOpen

Hi. I noticed pressing escape while editing a card immediately closes it, even if there’s a popup like when inserting a link. When it closes the card it also replaces the current URL without adding it to the browser tab history so I can’t just press back to just go back to the card (I have to search for it again). Please consider making escape close popups and add to the browser tab history when the card is closed.Thanks.

Ability to create a guru card from mobile appWon't Do

What is the problem? When I’m away from my computer and see an opportunity to create a Guru card, I can’t create a new guru card from the Guru mobile app.   Who is it a problem for? Card creators. How do you solve the problem today? Bookmark the thing/set a reminder/forget about it. If I remember, go to computer and create guru card. How would you ideally solve the problem? Add the ability to create a Guru card from the mobile app.  How big is the problem (business impact, frequency of impact etc.)? Minimal - no superhumans perish. Frequency - weekly.

Ability to configure experts and groups for Ask an ExpertWon't Do

We want to introduce specialized expert groups to route the Ask an Expert questions but it will take a while to teach the feature to suggest the expert groups rather than the ”collection” groups.As a meantime solution, we’ll have a card with the groups and the experts but we’d like to have a more elegant and user-friendly solution in place.It would help us to have the ability to customize the suggested experts that appear.

We are looking to reduce shoulder taps by having people use the Ask an Expert feature in Guru rather than asking questions in Slack. In order to manage that transition and encourage new habits we would like to have some metrics available around the use of Ask an Expert, such as:Number of questions asked between a certain date range Number of questions asked by a group and/or individual Number of questions answered by a group and/or individual Number of unanswered questions Length of time between when a question is asked and when it is answeredThere are likely other useful metrics too, but these are our current focus.

Confused about Collection Token and Searching

I tried the endpoint that was suggested (GET https://api.getguru.com/api/v1/folders/iq9zL8rT/items) using my Collection token authentication (Collection ID: 8ioty as username, Collection token as password) but I'm getting a 401 Unauthorized error.Here's the exact curl command I'm using:curl -u 8ioty:COLLECTIONTOKEN "https://api.getguru.com/api/v1/folders/iq9zL8rT/items" -D -The only endpoint where my Collection token authenticates successfully is /collections/8ioty/export (though it returns 405 Method Not Allowed since it expects POST).What I’m trying to do is pull cards from a folder, within a collection to a Chrome extension side panel (in order to continue our workflow without having to leave the tab). I’m also trying to search the Guru collection. I am definitely using the correct key for the specific collection From what I understand, I’m using the correct endpoints with GET requests but I’m consistently hitting a 401 unauthorized error 401 Unauthorized (Authentication Failed):/ap

Ability to view Guru as a non-AdminOpen

A few Ideas I wanted to suggest...1. Switching View Type: Would love a way to see our Guru configuration as a non-admin. In other words, toggling to different access level -- i.e. what does my collection look like to someone in X group with Y access level. There are a couple of reasons I would want something like this. First, it allows me when demoing to a new Guru user to show it as they see it. When I demo currently, they're seeing settings and content they'll never have access to. Second, it allows me when building to make sure I have all the right access settings configured. As the main Admin, I see a lot more than they do and I find myself having to triple check that settings are correct.2. Clone Cards: Creating similar content in different cards (for different user groups) that then have slight tweaks. Would be so much easier to clone the card rather than copy content.3. Removing Version History: Use case outlined here. Another Guru member just brought up PII concerns too as anot

At the moment, I’m struggling/obstructed to roll-out Guru to other departments because I cannot do it in a scalable way in order to protect sensitive information.Currently, in my software collection, we have numerous folders and subfolders containing crucial resources such as installation guides, work instructions, and best practices across our software ecosystem. To ensure scalability, it is easier to grant reader access to the entire collection. However, there is a need to restrict certain cards or folders to specific reader groups or software team members. For instance, instructions on setting up a database connection with our ERP system should only be accessible to the relevant team members.The challenge arises when granting readers access to the entire collection, as it becomes difficult to manage and organize information across multiple departments. As an example, within the HR collection, we want to provide employees with reader-level access to a wealth of knowledge while protec

Restrict Card Access by GroupOpen

It would be extremely helpful if, within a more open collection, there was the ability to restrict specific cards by group. Currently at creation, we can restrict to certain individuals, but having this expanded to include group permission ability would be invaluable. We want to avoid having to create private collections for teams within other teams for a handful of cards that need to be locked, when the rest of their content is open. This is resulting in having to further silo our team content instead of having a One-Stop Shop collection for them, including their more restricted cards. Locking each card by individual is not scalable when the team is constantly fluctuating. Each time the team shifts, we have to go back into each card and change the individuals that can access. Alternatively, being able to create private boards within a more public collection would solve this need as well.

I posted a question about this previously, but it appears that an enhancement is needed! I would love for a way as an Admin to view and manage card templates. The only way I have found to view templates is when you actually go to create a card (https://help.getguru.com/en/articles/4739966-creating-and-editing-a-template-card). I would instead advocate for something like Card Manager where you can view all the existing templates and their attributes and make bulk changes if needed (like applying tags or reassigning ownership).Thanks @Chris Anderson!

Hey all!So this is going to be a super random suggestion, but is there any way to edit the actual visibility of the templates? It’s a difficult thing to try to explain, but we have 14 or 15 different templates, one for each of the products that we have support, and they’re all getting used.Our Support Engineers themselves however, only work on a (at most) 2 products, and they can only write into the collections that they work on through the Groups and Permissions that have been set for them, but even if the templates aren’t relevant to that one individual, they still see them.We’ve had a few occasions when because our Engineers have clicked on the wrong template accidentally, the cards have been created with the default tags from that template, so when people have been searching for the content, it’s not been coming up, or it’s causing some confusion when it appears when it shouldn’t!So I guess the TLDR question is, is it possible to tie templates to specific Groups / Permissions, so w

Make Search Filters Exclusive as well as InclusiveOpen

Currently, when I search for a feature, I can choose to filter by the collection, tag, author, etc. But this is inclusive, meaning I can drill down into cards that are included in those filters. I need the ability to filter OUT. Ex: We synced our Guru with Zendesk, so we have over 1600 cards in Guru that are synced in from our Help Center. When I want to look for only internal content, I have no way of searching all collections EXCEPT our synced-in Help Center. It would be great to have a toggle that allows us to switch from filtering by inclusion to filtering by exclusion.
