challenge

  • my Guru-Google Sync Drive has become a main hub of data to exploit Guru
  • 30% of my Guru-Google Drive Sync data is markdown and will increase significantly
  • Google Cloud Search in my Workspaces handles md searches easily
    • Google can’t read md but knows the parent apps on my desktop that can and prompts for this
    • GCS results are immediate for md data just added to a parent app
    • Google Cloud Search comes with my four workspaces subs and is powerful
  • for Beta Question and Guru to be a competitive solution it needs to
    • be aware of this
    • and handle this soon

Thanks for the feedback @Christophe Fernandez . Just to make sure I understand, you’re hoping that answers in Guru can be generated from markdown files stored in Google Drive, and that any updates to files in Google Drive are immediately available for generating answers?

Yes it would be valuable for Guru to generate answers from  markdown data in Google Drive synced with Guru

Google Cloud Search is already able to search data in any format  immediately from parent apps linked to Google Drive of subscription Google workspaces

The trend in my data is upward for markdown format

In summary - Google Drive is now a powerful data forum with suite tools and Smart@ support so it makes strategic sense for me to link as much data traffic to it from parent apps and Guru has the opportunity to competitively deploy Question Search and Card Creation functionality in this scenario

  • I have a large hand-written digi-ink output from Wacom Intuos Pro and Wacom One
  • I export these in pdf from the parent app
  • Google Cloud Search has no problem searching data shown in fig.1
