No Gen AI 'Ask an expert' in mobile app

Who is it a problem for?

Merlyners

I don't.  Merlyners just use Guru less often

I wouldn't.  Guru would put Gen AI 'Ask an expert' feature in mobile app

How big is the problem (business impact, frequency of impact etc.)?

I don't know

In hybrid/remote work, people can and should go out and take walks.  They should go work at a coffee shop or wherever. They may feel more comfortable working off of a single laptop in a comfy space in their house.

In it's current form, the application provides little value, so I'm not sure I've even bothered mentioning it to my team. But as a Guru promoter, I'd be very keen on promoting the app if Gen AI 'Ask an expert' existed in it.

Hi @Paul_Wickes 👋 I’m sorry the Guru mobile app doesn’t support the Answers feature. Approx. how many users at your org use the Guru mobile app?

If they haven’t tried this already, I recommend asking these team members to begin using Guru’s web app (https://app.getguru.com/) with their mobile device’s default web browser. Another option is to use the Slack mobile app (after a Guru admin has installed the Guru app for Slack). Both of these methods will give them access to the Answers feature on mobile (if Answers is enabled for their workspace, of course!).

Somewhat related - if the ability to tap Guru as a mobile app on a home screen is important to a user, they may want to look into how to add a webpage as an app. For example, Apple devices offer the option to add any webpage as a home screen application:

While viewing the webpage, tap the “Share” icon in the navigation of the web browser and scroll to select “Add to Home Screen”.

Hope these workarounds are helpful and thanks for sharing this idea.
