What is the 12 Days of Guru?

If you are hearing of 12 Days of Guru for the first time, starting December 1st until our Holiday Deep Dive on December 16th, we'll be dropping a series of tips in the Guru Community to help you recognize your 2021 impact with Guru.

  • Participants will have the chance to win prizes daily by measuring the Guru metric of the day and sharing your findings in the thread.

  • By the end of the 12 Days, you’ll have all the information you’ll need to complete a Year in Review Card or PDF you can share with your team.

  • You’ll be able to submit your final Card for a grand prize.

  • At the Deep Dive, we'll meet to share our wins, mix and mingle, and celebrate before the holidays!

Follow along with these 12 Days of Guru resources and don’t forget to RSVP to the Deep Dive:

Day 5 Challenge!

Today’s metric of the day is to identify how many Cards were created in 2021!

To find the number of Cards created in 2021:

  1. Web App: Go to the web app (app.getguru.com) and the initial dashboard will display the trust score. You can always return to the dashboard by clicking the 'G' icon in the left hand corner of the navigation bar.DO_+Understanding+Trust+Score.png
  2. Navigate to the Card Manager tab in the web app.

  3. Head to Filter by Attribute on the right side. Set “creation date” to ABSOLUTE → After December 31st, 2020 and refresh your data!
  4. Look at the number in the top right corner - how many Cards were created in 2021?

  5. For further analysis, feel free to export this filtered view into a CSV file and work with the information in a spreadsheet.

Wow! Over 2/3 of our cards were created in 2021! That is pretty powerful.

That’s a lot of cards!

We were still trying out Guru with a small team before Dec 31st 2020, so a lot of those created cards were imported from our old knowledge base. Still very impressive to see ~62% were created this year :)

Interesting! A 7% increase for us.

We’re actually working on decreasing the number of Guru cards for a few areas in the near future, so I’m not sure this metric is valuable to us (something like the # of edits made in a year would be far more useful to monitor!).

I’m not 100% if I understand our number @Callie Rojewski   We launched in August. Does it make sense why our left number would be higher than the one on the right?

Regardless, very proud of all this content creation! We launched Guru for our entire company and created all our new content by hand due to a faulty import on the side of our previous intranet.

Added a lot of content this year so this makes a lot of sense!

Since we rolled out Guru in September and started the rollout with all of our content that was migrated from our Wiki, I pulled net new cards since the rollout! 426 Cards :open_mouth:

457 CARDS!!!!! CRAZINESS!!

We started working with Guru in a very light capacity in July of this year and fully rolled out in September. The four members of our T&E team have been working hard to transfer our various knowledge bases into a central location. This has been so much easier than scouring 5 different places to find one piece of information.

I was curious to see what this number would be after archiving/deleting a TON of cards, but then having a new card author ride into town… a much higher percentage of total cards created this year than anticipated!!

Most of our cards were created this year, and we’re hoping to see way more next year!
