Really excited about this tool.


I know that your search function will read through the text in a few different file attachments, like PDFs. Will the Answers AI tool read through these attachments as well? 

Will the tool also read through dropdown menus I made using the markdown tool?

 

Hi @Jimmy Miller thanks for your question! At this time, Answers does not pull from attached/ embedded Card content (in other words, Answers only pulls from Card titles and content). Stay tuned for future updates here!

Hi @Sydney Sundell … is there an update on this? Will Answers be able to read attached PDFs in a card? That would unbelievably awesome. :-)

While Answers now includes all markdown content, it doesn’t currently support attachments. We’ll be releasing an integration for Google Drive very soon, so if the PDF content came from a Google Doc, Slide or Sheet you’ll be able to pull that data into Answers though!

Thanks, @Noah Carpenter … looking forward to that integration! (But to be clear, a PDF doc inside a Google Drive still won’t have its data pulled into Answers, yes?)

@Lloyd Nebres Correct, copy and pasting a PDF inside a doc, slide or sheet would not be supported at this time
