Another Numbering Issue

Ran into this today:I created an ordered list. I inserted an additional item within the list, and the numbers changed accordingly. Next, I indented the new item, and the number type changed to a small letter (as it’s supposed to). Then, I decided to remove the the new item. I highlighted it, and deleted it. Instead of the numbers returning to their normal order, the list item after the deleted line reset to 1. So now I have a list that looks like this:1.2.3.4.1.2.I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I feel like deleting a line should cause the remaining numbers to reorder appropriately. Because of what’s happening, I have to change the list to text and then restyle as a numbered list.If there are any tips or tricks, I’d love to hear them.

We request the ability to include filters in the My Drafts category to facilitate their search, similar to those currently applied in the Card Manager section (title, author, collection, folder, creation date, last modified date, etc).

What are my options to customize the homepage (design as well as the content)?

The options for the homepage your Guru homepage are very limited. This makes it hard to make a noticeable, user friendly homepage. Take Guru's own knowledge database as an example. It would be great if we get the freedom to create homepages like this one ourselves. I already know that this is not possible at the moment. However sometimes you can use external parties to add a layer on the website, to get more options (API integration or content script injection via Proxy for example). I don't have a lot of knowledge on this subject. Does anyone know if this is possible with Guru and can I receive some tips?

We request the ability to include filters in the next section: Tasks > Annoucements > All sent > Assigned to to facilitate their search, similar to those currently applied in the Card Manager section (title, author, collection, folder, creation date, last modified date, etc).

Best practices for organizing technical content????

issue with card access

Hello I need your support to help me with a current issue on my GURU collection.I only want the admins to have access with uploading and editing and archiving the contents on GURU the issue is that everyone other than the admins have access to archive and edit the card content in the collection. I need and answer as soon as possible to fix this issue only admins who can edit and archive contents. Thank you Laila

Slight change in the display of the Callout box

Hey there… I noticed today that there’s an extra line that appears before the title in the callout box display. (It’s not there in the editing mode; only on the final display.)It wasn’t like this until today. If it’s possible to revert this, can you do so? The spacing looks odd with the extra line. Finding cards without tags

I can’t find a way in card manager to find all cards without tags. Only to find cards with a specific tag.I would like to find all my cards without tags and begin tagging to help our team find things better with tags. Is there a solution for this? It’s got to exist and I’m just overlooking something simple.

Hi Folks!We have outsourced team members in our population of Guru users. Many are showing they never logged in when I review our metrics. They all say they have logged in…Is there a possibility this is a Guru glitch, or more likely just user error? Thanks!

Best path to creating a visualization of content hierarchy?

Hi all - I’m interested in seeing the complete hierarchy in Guru in a sitemap-style (or similar) showing the Collections, the folders included in those Collections, and the way in which those folders are nested within each other. My current understanding is that an export wouldn’t be helpful here because the folders column doesn’t show how they are nested within each other. Unfortunately that means I’m left manually re-creating the hierarchy of each collection in another tool like Miro or Figma so I can see them all in a single view. Has anyone worked out other ways to accomplish viewing the complete hierarchy of collections and folders?

Multiple cards-different teams, same topic

Looking to understand how other teams are doing this……Our company just released a new feature, this resulted in the following: Product Team created a “product overview” Card in the product collection Sales Engineering team created a ‘sales faq’ card in the Sales Collection Customer care team created a card for their collection…Now we have 3 assets that exist, which serve various teams & use cases. Problem - there are multiple cards to update if the core card has a significant change. We are weighing whether we want to continue creating separate cards for separate teams, or end up with a single, large scale card which serves all audiences. This could be mitigated by having a very specific Table of Contents built out, however….the world where a sales rep could just use the chrome extension to get to their sales specific card is very enticing….Curious to get some feedback from the community!

Can I pull content from Github READMEs?

Guru has a Github integration which sources Github Issues for content/answers. However, it does not support the codebase itself or the README. READMEs are often the source of truth for context about a service and instructions relating to contributing, testing, deploying, troubleshooting, etc. They would be an integral part of a Github knowledge base.Does anyone know of a way to source READMEs? I was thinking of building a job as part of my deployment pipeline which pipes the README into a new Card using the Guru API, but I haven’t tried using the API yet and am not sure how effective that route will be.

Regarding attachments returned through API

Hi Team,I am using the search (https://api.getguru.com/api/v1/search/query?q=) and trying to fetch the attachments, however we see that, we are getting all the attachment information like images, and videos in the content field. We get a URL in the src field when we try to use that URL for file information, We get a 404 error. Any pointers to fetch the attachment information from API ??

Is there a API that can use a Get to search a folder?

We moved our product support documents to Guru. Our customer access these documents from our website. I’m using API to search and get documents. Each document is a card. We have a collection holding these documents. We use folders to organize the documents into subgroups.We want to use a Collection Token for Guru API calls. Consequently, only Get operations are authorized.The Guru search API supports a Get to search the whole collection, but I cannot find a parameter to specify a Folder ID to search a specific folder.The Post to the cardmgr API does support searching a folder, but this cannot be used by a Collection Token.Am I overlooking something?

Image Resize Bug

Images go to full size, I even screen shot and it still get’s blown up. Max width should have same boundaries as text, but don’t. Inconsistent behavior too, following previous 2021 bug feedback does not work, no way to resize.

Guru is not able to find content related to terms that are composed of two (or more) words.

Although I have updated our content and made it very clear how service dogs need to be treated, Guru is not able to find an answer, because it looks for “service” and for “dogs” and doesn’t recognize “service dog” as one term. The same happens with other examples. This is very limiting to our teams.
