We are a Google company therefore aside from Google Drive, Google Sites is the second biggest knowledge repository. Integrating Google Sites with Guru will provide all the benefits that the other Guru out of the box integrations (such as ServiceNow, Confluence etc) do.

There are already integrations between Guru and other areas of the Google Suite (such as Sheets and Drive), to include Google Sites with these would enhance the synergy and help us to create a more holistic, interconnected knowledge-sharing environment. This is largely because of the improved searchability, we will be enabling users to surface knowledge authored in a Google Site, which is currently a black hole when it comes to searching on Guru, even if we make cards with links to the sites.

If we could get this set up as a sync it will improve the efficiency of locating specific information and reducing the time spent trying to find a link to the Google Site and will greatly assist with onboarding / bringing new starters up to competency. There is also a time saving aspect from the fact that with an automated sync, real-time updates will be reflected reducing the workload of subject matter experts needing to maintain the information in two different places.

Google Sites also doesn’t currently have any way of identifying if information is up to date, having this information available in Guru will reassure users of the accuracy of the knowledge their consuming.
