If you click the edit button on a Guru card, it creates a draft immediately, even if you don’t make any actual changes to the card. If you don’t manually delete that draft, it just sits there indefinitely, which can cause confusion when someone else goes to edit the card and sees “So-and-so last edited this draft 5 weeks ago.” To reduce this confusion (and the need to remember to manually delete drafts that you never intended to create because you just accidentally clicked the edit button), drafts should not actually save until at least 1 change has been made.
