As a user using the Guru Browser Extension while working tickets in Zendesk, I would like to be able to minimize and restore (or collapse and expand) the card viewer window so that it doesn’t block ticket information. When I am working on a smaller screen, like a laptop, it can be frustrating to try and move the viewer around, or to close it and reopen it as I use information on the card to work the ticket. It would be great if I could click something to shrink the viewer to something much smaller (like maybe it displays only the top bar, etc), and then, when I need the card information again, I click again to return it to normal size.

I set a keyboard shortcut in Chrome that shows/hides the extension. I use CTRL 7 bc that’s not used by anything else for me.

This will keep any open cards open as well and in their same spot.

I also mapped this shortcut to a button on my mouse (the thumb button on Ergo MX)

Maybe this would help?

Thanks @Joseph Reddy for the feedback, and @Siobhan Hyser for the creative workaround! Here’s the Help Center article covering how to set up the Chrome keyboard shortcut to minimize and open the Guru extension.

This is definitely feedback we have heard before, so we will keep this feedback open and let others in the Community vote/comment if they are experiencing similar challenges.

Although we do not have any definitive plans to change this behavior in the near-term future, we are planning on doing a deep dive into the usability and overall experience of our Chrome extension. I will be sure to update this thread as soon as I have more information around a timetable or any upcoming changes.
