I may have brought this up/submitted as a feature request before, but it came up again and I wanted to make sure I passed it along! We could really use the ability to have a *private boards/private board groups* within a Collection. Our use case is that there is documentation that only managers should have access to - and our current solution was to create a Managers-specific Collection, but we've gotten feedback that having two Collections to check is too much mental overhead.
We also don't want to just make all of these cards private and in our all-team Collection, because adding individuals to 10+ cards every time a new manager is hired is not scaleable and also prone to inaccuracy due to it's manual nature. (Card privacy settings by user group could work in this case, maybe! So, there's another feature request for ya! 😅 )
Let me know if there is another solution that I'm not thinking of!
we could definitely use private boards/boards group as well. Compliance and Legal teams come to mind, as well as Product for "private in progress cards" vs "public to collection" cards
Same! In my case, I'd appreciate being able to use it for:
• Some SMEs, in particular one that is a group of 5, that need access to reference docs when they handle escalations
• For card authors who need to reference best practices/workflows (I find that hiding info that is not relevant to my main users makes it easier for them to find their content)

Thanks so much for raising this @aberman, and for the use case examples as well (super helpful) @kfretz @bwayne!

This is also something we are very much in need of. As mentioned having two collections for one group (one private and one shared) is not ideal. The alternate solution is too cumbersome to implement, which would involve giving “all member” permissions to each individual board/board group, so that we could retain some boards privately.
