Occasionally we get behind in verifications, and we’ll then sit down and verify a bunch of things a single day. The problem wth this is the next time those cards need verified (for us that is typically every 6-12 months) they again all fall in a single day, which feels difficult to maintain (and easy to ignore), but perpetuates the issue each year going forward. If there was a way to “randomize” the verification schedule, it would help load balance future verifications … for example if you chose “randomized annual” verification schedule, cards could come up for verification within 2 weeks before and after a date 1 year from last verification. That would help us ensure staff don’t get constantly overwhelmed when cards are due for verification all at once.
