Hey @beth.colquhoun! The way we've gotten around this currently is by clicking 'Answer with Card' in the shortcuts on Slack, then clicking 'View Card' and copying the link to the card.
Then, sending it as a reply in the thread.
You can also choose 'Answer with Card' which should add the relevant Card to the thread, however we've found the formatting is a little off, given its copying all the text from the workflow.

I would love to understand a bit more about the challenge you’re struggling with here. If I understand correctly, when you use the “Answer with a Card” shortcut in Slack, it responds with a follow-up message instead of in a thread.

Does this happen in DMs, channels, or both?

I ask because I would expect it to happen in DMs and look like this:

In a channel, however, I would expect the same interaction to look like this:

Important to note, though, that the Guru Slackbot must be added to the channel first.

Hopefully that helps, but please let me know if I am misunderstanding at all. Any screenshots or additional detail would be very helpful.
