Hi @Jenny Morse! Speaking broadly, to get the most value out of the workflow and the feedback loops Guru’s Slack integration enables, we always recommend giving the contributors of knowledge and consumers of knowledge seats in both Slack and Guru.
More specifically, to activate Guru’s beta Answers feature when asking a question in Slack, the question asker must be a Guru user. If the question is asked in a channel, everyone in that channel (regardless of whether or not they are a Guru user) will be able to see Guru’s suggested answer. So it’s both asking the question and the steps after the question (escalating to an expert, searching Guru, creating or updating a Card within Slack, viewing Guru Cards as sources, etc.) that make it important to ensure the team members are users in both Slack and Guru.
