I have a question about the Answers dashboard. If a question has been flagged as “Not Answered”, but we have a card that would have answered that question, is there a way to add it to the suggested answers?

For example: Here the question was asked “How to add back image to mailer”, which didn’t yield any suggested answers. However, we do have a card in our Guru library that would have answered this question or at least shown up under “sources”.

I appreciate any thoughts on this!

I was wondering the exact same thing. Thanks Danielle!

Hey @Danielle Smoren and @Elliot Shaw! Thanks so much for sharing your feedback!

At this time, no you can’t add a card to a suggested answer but that is a really cool idea. To understand this a little more, if you could add a card to a suggested answer, would you expect the asker to be notified, or for Answers to utilize that card more proactively the next time a similar question was asked? (Or maybe both or something totally different!)

Hey Noah!

The immediate need would be associating the card as an answer to similar questions for the future. Of course, both actions you mentioned would be ideal. I was actually looking for this exact feature instinctively within the interface two days ago since it was my first time exploring the answers table. This seems to be the main missing piece.

Agreed. It’s awesome being able to view the Answers data in the Guru Tools, but it would be great to have more corrective actions for the records that show “flagged” or “not answered,”  such as manually associating a card to that type of question. Or the ability to segment collections that should be evaluated for that specific question; or to add tag constraints when evaluating Cards for answers. This may be getting in the weeds, but just some quick brainstorming from my experience in the Guru Tools earlier today as I reviewed historical responses by Answers. 🤖

Hey, @Noah Carpenter!

Thanks for taking the time to look into my question. Ideally, you could add a card that would then serve as a suggested answer or as a source the next time a similar question was asked.

While it would also be nice to be able to notify the person that originally asked the question, that seems like it would be more of an icing on the cake type of deal!

Hi Danielle!
Thank you for sharing! We have this functionality through the “assign to expert” flow. If you want to close the loop with a rep who got an incorrect answer, you can use the and either assign the question to yourself or another team member/group. From there you can attach an existing card that answers the question, create a new card or just send a comment and the user who asked the question will get a notification with the corrected answer. We’d love to hear thoughts and feedback here, so please keep it coming.
