The problem is that currently is no way to search in the Card Manager by Card content, so it is very hard (almost impossible) to find a card by a word that is not in the title.
I don't know how to solve this problem today.

Would love a setting to make archived cards show up as searchable or linkable?

IF an existing card links to a now archived card - it shows up find and shows content with an arhcived banner.  It is not possible to create a new link to an archived card (or even to search for an archived card).  This becomes painful to then go find the card (not searchable), then unarchive, then be able to link to it again!

Hey @Chad Bentz! I’m sorry, this idea here is actually a duplicate post of this idea to bring keyword search to Card Manager (including the “Archived Cards” page). I missed closing this post for additional comment and I’ll do so after I make sure to share some feedback on the topic of archived Cards below.

When viewing a published Card, users can learn where it’s linked by clicking More Options ellipsis at the top-right, then Card History and the Cards that link to this Card.

It’s generally a best practice to remove links to archived Cards in verified Cards because the majority of users in the workspace, the read only users, can’t see archived Cards. There is a step in the manual Card archiving process that stops the Collection owner or author and informs them they’re going to break a link elsewhere if they proceed. This should help reinforce that best practice of checking where a Card is linked before a user archives it.

If it’s too late and a read only user has found a broken link in a Card, the next best step is for that user to share the link to the Card containing the broken link with a Collection owner or author, ideally commenting on the broken link with an @ mention of the user. The Collection owner and author users can then fix the situation, either by editing the Card and removing/replacing the broken link, restoring the linked Card by clicking the broken link and clicking Restore (provided they are a Collection owner or author at its origin), or contacting an admin for help. If the linked archived Card was automatically archived, you may want to ask the admin or Collection owner to set custom auto archive setting with a broader grace period.

Another place to locate archived Cards is Card Manager. Collection owner and authors can filter the “Archived Cards” page using the “Filter by Attribute” on the right-hand side. “Title” could be helpful here.

I also understand why a keyword search would be even more useful when searching through the archived Cards in Card Manager. If this is the feature you’re looking for, please upvote this idea, which is to bring a keyword search function into Card Manager.

I hope this information is helpful! Let me know if it brings up any other questions.
