There is no reporting out of Guru on Verification Interval and Last Verified/Next Verify dates. We currently are manually tracking verification intervals and last verified dates. This is tedious for our leadership and Business Process specialist to be maintaining and reviewing. We would like more robust reporting on verification and reminders when a card is about to meet their verification interval. This largely impacts the time it takes for us to get new, fresh, verified content into Guru because there’s no “warning” before the content meets the verification interval.

Additionally, we’ve created specific tags to include on certain cards to be able to filter that subset of cards across collections when we pull our API data on cards. It would be far easier if a) card manager had exportable data and b) reporting was more developed without having to go the route of the API.

I believe this may be being discussed, but if the card manager could include a column allowing me, as a knowledge manager, to sort by when a card is approaching the “remain verified until” date on cards, it can help me prepare teams to plan for an influx of cards that are about to expire.

In theory we could export intervals and last verified dates from the card manager and use a formula in something like google sheets to calculate the date at which it will become unverified, but that process doesn’t work if I’ve used the API to change the interval and isn’t very efficient to manage in this way anyways.

@Carolyn Reitter @Lynn Miller hi there! I’m excited to let you know that we’re currently working on updates that will help you monitor and anticipate upcoming verification expirations, both in Card Manager and in a user’s task queue. Lynn, we’re already in touch 😀, and Carolyn, if you’d like to schedule time to discuss your use case further (and get a preview of what’s coming), please go ahead! Otherwise, we’ll keep you posted on when to expect these updates.

Hey everyone! You may have noticed updates to Card Manager that were made since this was initially posted which speak to this idea. Collection owners and authors can now filter the view of Cards by:

  • Verification Expiration Date
  • Verification Interval
  • Verification State
  • Last Verified Date

With a combination of filters, it’s possible to determine what Cards are about to be unverified. For example, here is how I filter to discover currently verified Cards that will expire within the next 60 days:

This is just a starting point and it’s absolutely possible to layer on even more filters, like “Times Viewed” and “Times Copied” to make the view even more granular.

When you’re done, be sure to save the filter by clicking “Save Filter” at the bottom of the “Filter by Attribute” column for quick future access. 🔍

With that said, I can also keep this “Open” because I see specific asks for a report and alert (and the the weekly email only contains a few Cards expiring within the next 7 days at present).
