Suggesting mode in drafts

  • What is the problem? When collaborating on anything written, many users want to only suggest changes or want changes suggested to them with the ability to accept/reject.

  • Who is it a problem for? Many users who rely on drafting content in Google docs since it has this functionality.

  • How do you solve the problem today? Users start in google docs to collaborate, accept/reject suggestions, then move over final product to Guru.

  • How would you ideally solve the problem? Add a suggest mode on drafts like Google docs.

  • How big is the problem (business impact, frequency of impact etc.)? The majority of our users start in Google docs and doing so has an extra step in the workflow which could be made more efficient by starting/staying in Guru. Also because a google doc then has to be deleted or deprecated after moving it to Guru to reduce confusion.

Might I add to this a strong interest in seeing draft history of changes as an alternative or in addition to? Anything that helps our collaborators work similar to the google doc experience and will give them a better async collaboration experience would be great. It’s very difficult to remember what changes occurred if you’re not in the draft at the exact same time as the collaborator. Inline draft commenting will help some. Thank you!

And maybe even just thinking about drafts on published cards - a way to see what is changing from the published version to the draft (perhaps closer to the suggested edits). I think just not being able to see the changes is the hesitation. Many thanks:)
