Add: Option to filter active and archived cards in the Card Manager

Hi Guru Community! Our company has many unverified cards, which need to be sorted out. Therefore, we looked up the statistics using the Card Manager. I noticed a problem with the numbers in the Card Manager and Analytics. After this update, the Trust Score moved from the Dashboard to the Analytics tab. What is the problem?The Trust Score can’t be measured easily by using the Card Manager. Example: Our Trust Score is now 56% (see screenshot). According to the Card Manager (top left), we have 1951 cards in total. When I filter the amount of unverified Card, there are 625 out of 1951 unverified cards, which is 32%, meaning a Trust Score of 68%. This is different from our actual Trust Score. It turned out that 1951 is the amount of all Cards, including the archived Cards. To identify the real Trust Score, I have to deduct the number of archived Cards from the total number of Cards. I would measure 625/ (1950-539) = 44%, which results in the actual Trust Score of 56%. This is a problem b

“Public Guru Answers” for end users vs. "Guru Answers" for internal teams

As a platform owner, I would like my end users to use Guru Answers, that uses data from ONLY specific cards or Collections.As a platform owner, I would like my team to use Guru Answers, that uses data from ALL cards or Collections.Is it possible to segment what data Answers gives, to what groups of people? In this use case, there would be a “Public Guru Answers”, just like you can share cards publically. But the “Public Guru Answers” only has access to data that is made for the public, and not for the internal team. Is this feature available, or else, where can I add it as a feature request.

My 2 cents so far!

Hi! Thanks for including us in this beta! I have a couple of concerns upon first use: Much of our guidance needs to be 100% accurate and specific, especially in the case of Trust & Safety issues. I’m nervous that Ai will potentially miss the exact verbiage or steps that need to be followed. Would there eventually be a means of shutting off Answers for certain content? Is there a way to check its accuracy? Our guidance is mostly written out in steps. Ai summaries lose that format, and I’m concerned steps will be missed. Our cards have guidance for multiple teams, and will specifically outline which team should be using which guidance. With the Ai summary, the “audience” element is lost, which risks a lower-tiered agent using guidance meant for a higher tier or different team. Sometimes there are a few sources that show up. Is it possible to know where exactly Answers is pulling its summary from? I love the idea of eventually using Answers to search across synched apps. How

Seeking advice on increasing trust scores for reluctant verifiers

Hi all! I’ve seen a few similar posts but nothing that exactly matches my question: What are some tips to make sure verifiers get their content verified within a reasonable amount of time? I think our verifiers have gotten into the habit of ignoring notifications, and they don’t visit their “tasks” as requested. The more cards expire, the more overwhelming it might seem. As a result, I think verification is just falling off of the to-do lists of our busiest employees. It seems they know what is being asked of them, and they understand the importance of verification-- but they don’t have the time. In some cases, the consequence is they’ll rush to reverify when the content hasn’t actually been reviewed. Here’s what I’ve tried: Flagged low trust scores with verifiers and synched with them individually to see if I can help clarify any processes. Unique Permissions for individual cards from Confluence sync

We are currently syncing our department specific Confluence space into a Guru collection which we have set to specific permissions in Guru (Department Authors, Admin, Consumers). We would like to have the ability to open up permissions on specific cards within the collection so that the full company can view. Is there a way that can we can do this without copying the cards into a collection that is public facing? Essentially the functionality we are looking for is to control the permissions on a card specific level.

How can I move Sections from one Board to another?

I can move the section position inside the original board but not move to a different board. To handle this limitation, I'm creating a new section in the board destine and moving cards individually. Is there a better way to do it?

Is there a way to send Guru card content via email?

Hi there, I’ve been considering using Guru to replace our internal weekly email newsletter. Content and analytics-wise a card seems to work but one of the reasons we love the email newsletter is because it can be read easily on mobile by team members who travel regularly. Does anyone know if there is a way to send an email that displays the Guru card contents in the body of the email? We use an integration with Okta so many employees cannot open the Guru cards themselves on their phone. Thanks,Catherine

Google Drive hosted video playback issue while using the mobile app

Does anyone know how to get videos to play in the Guru mobile app? Issue - In the Guru mobile app it was noticed that the videos that are embedded are not playing. Below is a screen print from my phone (iphone). Current workflow - We store out videos on a shared google drive, and when putting them into a card, we have been getting the embedded HTML code and putting that into an iframe. On a computer it is working nice, however a lot of our staff access Guru only from their mobile device. Current Workaround identified - Put the link to the video into the card as well. Users can click on the link and access the video, however it does not play through Guru so the user has to authenticate through another app.

"All Members" Group members losing access to any and all Cards?

Yesterday, 2/6/23 around 2pm EST our users began losing access to any and all cards. These users are in different localities using different machines and have different titles. None of them belong to any Groups other than the default “All Members”. Adding them to Groups grants them permission to cards and collections those groups have access too, but not the cards open to “All Members”. We have been working with Guru Support 23 hours and this coincided with an “Edit” update as well as a yesterday File Service Partial Outage. This occurs in the extension or web app, and persists if you send the user a direct URL link to a card they were previously accessing.We have been working with Guru support for about 23 hours but are about to create a group with access to a new card with appropriate permissions before adding our users to it.Presumably we will delete this group later once “All Member” functionality has been restored or we (or Guru) find another solution.Is anyone else experiencing

How do you manage Board Group permissions?

Hi Guru Community,We are in the process of planning our Guru structure so that Authors can begin populating it with data (YAY!). But the Project Team is grappling with how IT Admin will best keep track of the Board Group Permissions which are clunky to review at the board level only. There are a bunch of posts requesting changes to this (and I have upvoted them all! 😄) but in the meantime, I am looking for suggestions for how to stay across this in the meantime. There was a suggestion of a spreadsheet in one webinar I attended but I didn’t ask for a template at the time.I am hoping that one of you might be able to steer me in the right direction or give me some tips to do/not do that you have come across on your Guru journeys.Thanks in advance!

Guru Invitations

We're about to rollout the product to our team and plan to use the native Guru invitation format. We see that you cannot hyperlink text in Guru invitations but had been inserting the full URL as a work around (something like “Contact Abbey Florence at chieffaa@newschool.edu with any questions”). However, the system has started inserting a space before the extension in every URL string. So in this example, it breaks “chieffaa@newschool.” apart from the “edu” for some reason. Is that supposed to happen? Is there a workaround? Thanks!Abbey

Backlinking for embedded content?

Hi! Is there a way to check within Guru where cards are embedded? Our use case is for Guru cards embedded into Workramp. When a Guru card changes, we want to be sure to double-check the content in the places where that card is embedded to make sure those workflows still make sense. I don’t believe this is a feature, but I thought I’d check. Thanks!

What's the different between "archiving" and "dismissing" a question?

After addressing questions from the “Ask an Expert” feature, I see two options to either Archive question or Dismiss. Is there a difference between the two actions? What is best practice if you want to make sure you have access to questions/answers for historical reference but would also like to clear out your inbox?Example 1: Clicking the red X in the “Questions - Inbox” prompts you to “dismiss” : Example 2: Clicking the “Archive question” at the bottom of the open questions page:

When I hover over a comment reaction, I can’t see who reacted. Am I missing something? And while I’m thinking of it, is there a way to get notifications about reactions to comments?

Trying to figure out the best way address all comments in the org on a regular basis, any ideas?

When looking though I didn’t find a way to parse all the comments made on all cards in all collections for a given time frame. As a Guru admin, I would like to be able to ensure that all comments that were made in a given time frame were seen and addressed (both resolved and open). I may have missed it when going through the options and documentation. Please do let me know if I missed it or have any ideas for a workaround (maybe an email filter or using the API). Forcing Slack Notifications

Is there any way to know how many of our users have Slack notifications enabled or somehow only allow Slack notifications for our users? Our organization doesn’t use email unless interacting with clients and external stakeholders and if our users don’t make this change, it is a given they will overlook some important announcements. We are using SCIM in Okta, if that makes any difference???

Code blocks in lists

In some of our documentation, we have code blocks that appear in lists/numbered bullets, but I don’t think that is an option in Guru. Is there something I’m overlooking? A workaround? Or something that is on the roadmap?
