The Guru Q+A Function

Our team is (FINALLY) starting to use the Guru Q+A function for asking and answering questions, but we’re running into a couple of snags for implementation. Is it possible to view the answers from another asker’s question in the Card Manager?  Is it possible to get any sort of analytics around a particular user’s (or group of users’) usage of the Q+A function outside of the drilldown?  In the drilldown, is there a way to see what questions a user is asking? And if so, can we automate a report to show us their usage of the function?  Thanks, in advance, for the help! :)

Embed PDFs for Public Sharing

https://help.getguru.com/en/articles/4681196-how-to-embed-a-pdf-into-a-guru-cardWhen I get to “embed” I see this:Only the owner and explicitly shared collaborators have accessCan the embedded PDF only be seen by people with access to the file in Drive?  I’d like to make a Collection with Public Sharing that contains PDFs our users might need. They do not need to edit or add any content, only view. They do not have access to any internal systems, including Guru and Drive.  I made a card that is in a Collection with Public Access yet when I access it from a different browser, I’m asked to login to Guru: https://app.getguru.com/card/cn9bGe4i/Test-2-Embed-from-Drive (it’s my wifi bill, nothing with PII )

Why does Guru torture me with these red dots?

Anyone else feel compelled to continually check the Task/Verification list cause they want the red dots to go away?! LOL - I accept that I’ve been conditioned by my phone to want those things to disappear, so can you help me Guru?

Lost images in card

Has anyone else experienced issues with lost images in cards?  We have a couple cards in our collection that the images no longer load, but it had been working a few months back.  Is there a way to recover these images?

Unable to Add Guru app in Slack

I was able to add the Guru Slack app last week and it disappeared this week. (This may have been due to some security changes for my work’s Slack)I am running into the same issue I had when I first tried adding it. When I click Add Guru Wiki, it brings me to the Guru page and when I click Enable Guru + Slack it brings me to the Slack page and it is an endless loop.

Is there any way to limit Card Template visibility?

Hey all!So this is going to be a super random question, but is there any way to edit the actual visibility of the templates? It’s a difficult thing to try to explain, but we have 14 or 15 different templates, one for each of the products that we have support, and they’re all getting used.Our Support Engineers themselves however, only work on a (at most) 2 products, and they can only write into the collections that they work on through the Groups and Permissions that have been set for them, but even if the templates aren’t relevant to that one individual, they still see them.So I guess the TLDR question is, is it possible to tie templates to specific Groups / Permissions, so we can ensure that the templates that are displayed are tailored to that users characteristics.

What's a good default visibility for Guru in my org?

Hey all,I’m implementing Guru for the very first time and it’s so cool but also so  🧠🔨!I’ve set up collections for every department, with an access “group” for department leads, and another group for team members with read only access. For the rest of the org, I’ve not allowed all members read only access in any collections. Therefore, every department will only have access to their team’s collection.I do this so that team leads can pick and choose which boards/sections/cards will be visible out to the org.Is this a good empty state, do you think? Why or why not?

Best practices for experts to review questions and cards needing verification?

We are launching Guru next week and curious about best practices for experts to check questions and cards that need verification? I was going to set the expectations that experts should be checking on Mondays and Wednesday. That might even be overkill but at least there will only be a few day delay at most.

Can you turn off related Card suggestions at the bottom of a Card?

Morning all, I hope someone may know the answer to this, as I haven't been able to find it (though that very definitely could be user error!). Is there a way to turn off the "Users who viewed this Card also viewed:" suggestions at the bottom of specific cards (or even more specifically the bottom of cards all in one collection) please? For context, I have a collection that only has public cards in it for recruitment candidates and pre-boarding. However because we've also been setting up cards in internal collections, the suggestions at the bottom of the public only cards are suggesting internal facing cards that those people won't be able to access (and shouldn't see unless they're employed). Any help will be gratefully received - thank you in advance! :thankyou:

Getting a 500 error when querying the KCS endpoint

Hello! I'm trying to query Guru's KCS endpoint to get all Zendesk tickets linked to a specific card. When I use the `cardId` query, I don't get anything back, and usually a 500 error. However, if I remove`cardId` it works, only I get ALL cards which is not what I want. I've tried `cardId` using the slug (works when doing a call to search by ID but not KCS), and also using the card id property we get in the objects when calling KCS (this also gives me ALL cards). Here's an example test in curl curl -u UNAME:TOKEN https://api.getguru.com/api/v1/kcs?cardId=CARDID This works though curl -u UNAME:TOKEN https://api.getguru.com/api/v1/cards/CARDID/extended Am I doing something wrong? We're trialing Guru for issues and feedback, but we need a way to get all ZD tickets linked to a card for it to be of any use. The Spreadsheet Guru provides is cool, but while trying to introduce the `cardId` query, it's just giving me 500 errors even if the call is properly formatted. Has anyone built something

Can you bulk request Cards to be verified?

I've recently inherited our Guru platform and I'm reviewing the unverified cards. As far as I can see, I can only request verification per single card. Is there a smart way of requesting a bunch of cards be verified (by individual) with one click?

How have you reinforced for your team to use email templates in Guru?

Hi all! We have a big push to get our CSMs using more email templates to make them more efficient; we've organized things in Guru to make it easy to see what's available and are thinking about training / rollout now.  In the past, we've found it difficult to get people to use them- mostly because they forget they are there. Has anyone ever had similar challenges? If so, what did you do in terms of training / enforcement to help encourage usage? Thank you!

When using the "Ticket Linking" feature, can you see what Cards a ticket is linked to?

When using the "Link to Ticket" feature, has anyone figured out a way to see what Cards a Ticket is linked to? In Zendesk, if I'm looking at a ticket, I want to easily see that someone has linked this ticket to the appropriate card without needing extra steps. We're using to track product feedback and bugs so there can be more than one linked card per ticket. I was thinking perhaps some kind of API call that could populate a Google Sheet and filter for that Ticket ID. Google Sheets can be added as a sidebar in ZD, so maybe somehow there's some magic that could work there? Or if the Guru Extension could show what cards this ticket is linked to -that would be stellar!
